"How good at climbing are you?" Rianna asks Ciira, while backing away and aiming another Combat Push at where the next droid is coming at her from. She'll aim to hit two of them, and keep her lightsaber up to deflect any blaster bolts that come her way.

"Er, okay, I guess?" Ciira asks. "Why?"

As a reminder, your Defense is reduced by 1 against these invisible foes, and they are at +4 difficulty to hit. You can reduce the difficulty by spending frames to track them, if you wish.

"Because we're getting out of here and going into the jungle!" Rianna replies.

Again you thrust your hand forward, rolling 10 and 7. One battle droid you manage to knock off its feet, its outline blurring as it crashes to the ground, but you don't quite destroy it. The other stays standing.

The battle droids attack, half on Ciira and half on you. When they fire their blasters, they briefly become faintly visible in the glow before vanishing again.

Ciira Defends, but her lightsaber skill is minimal. She struggles against the incoming fire and takes 36 damage.

Your active dodge saves you from one attack, but you take 18 damage from two good rolls from a pair of droids.

The battle droids advanced into close combat as they fired, their footprints stomping ever closer...

Rianna very quickly decides that this is not a fight they're going to win, and she has no intention of dying here.

"Go! Up into the trees!" she shouts at Ciira, getting ready to make her dash into the jungle. She'll run for the nearest edge of the jungle, using Defend for defense.

Once she reaches the trees, Jump to get up into them...

You will not reach the trees before the droids shoot you down.

Ciira is going to make a break for the abandoned building that she had taken refuge in, using Reaction Push to smash a gap through the droids and run out.

Damn...then Rianna will head to the building as well, snapping attacks with her lightsaber if necessary to get through. Still Defend, though.

You lash out with your lightsaber where you think the droids are standing. One becomes visible when you cut it in half at the torso. A second flickers into view when your lightsaber disappears into its chest, through the black mechanism. You miss a third.

Ciira closes her eyes and reaches out with a closed fist. She snaps it open and three droids are flung violently into the wall of the abandoned building. They connect with enough force to crack the wall and shatter their components.

When it comes time for the battle droids to attack, Ciira's eyes flash as she performs another gesture, her hand tearing upwards through the air and clenching as she performs a Reaction Push. Two battle droids crash together and fall in a broken heap.

With her attackers removed, Ciira is in the clear and makes a break for the abandoned building. She is one powerful little girl, Rianna...

One droid manages to deal 7 damage to you, but the others fumble this time... and you are clear to run if you wish.

Rianna is most certainly going to take advantage of the chance to run and does so, rather surprised at how strong Ciira is with the Force. Use Defend if necessary.

Her power is remarkable for one so young.

Ciira reaches the building before you and vanishes into the dark interior. The battle droids continue to spray away at you, bolts bursting against the wall and ground... but you make it in. Ciira uses the Force to slam the door shut behind her.

"I TOLD you we should have stayed in here!" she says.

"I don't think that's going to hold them back for very long," Rianna replies. "We should have just left the village entirely..."

Ciira doesn't respond, simply deactivating her lightsaber.

"What do you really expect to do, just sitting here and waiting? No one's going to come and rescue us, you know," Rianna says, shutting down her own lightsaber. She's a bit frustrated and frightened at the moment.

"It's not like there could be thousands of them out there!" Ciira argues. "Let them come to us, we'll take them down one at a time as they try to come in after us."

"Or they could just decide to wait out there and draw us out!"

Ciira does not have a response to that, but there is a heavy thumping on the door now.

"Here they come..." Rianna says grimly, re-igniting her lightsaber.

"We should move upstairs," Ciira says, also activating her lightsaber. "The hall is narrow and there is only one way they can come."

"Good idea," Rianna says. "But you stay back."

She will head up the stairs, then! And if they can pile up some of the furniture on the stairs - more to be able to tell exactly where the invisidroids are than slowing them down - Rianna would also like to do that.
