It's in the bible's authority. Beliefs that conflict with the bible=heresy.
No its not within the Bibles authority...its a book not a sentient being.
Also conflicts...my belief doesnt conflict with scripture...indeed it is fully supported by scripture.
And FYI to be a conflict, the bible would have to say the Devil did NOT fall due to his pride.

You did...you made a big one...Anyway, back to the Devil
This is what he says to Dr. Faust...in that story of the same name.
"Why this is hell, nor am I out of it./ Think’st thou that I, who saw the face of God,/And tasted the eternal joys of heaven,/ Am not tormented with ten thousand hells/ In being deprived of everlasting bliss?"
I-if we can take semi-modern fiction on the subject I'll get out my Lucifer Morningstars and quote some 😐

Sure you can, if you believe they contribute to the topic...Faust is a very highly regarded piece of work and does portray Satan as a rather pitiful creature we should pity rather than hate...

Matthew 16:17-19
"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
