No...that quote supports it, very much so, oh and for the record it isn't my fault that you "choose" to only take the Bible into account when discussing Christianity...although you only do that because you know ZERO about the religion and are just sitting on biblegateway entering keywords into the search field...shock!

The Lucifer series is a lot more modern than Faust . . . but it's a worthwhile view of Satan nonetheless.
Anyways, whether you find Satan pathetic or should pity him, certainly depends on your own personal beliefs and also what mythology or work of fiction you look at.

Well...doesn't that go without saying...

Well, since you don't even know what faith your mom is part of and you choose to spell Christianity with a K, I'm guessing you probably resorted to satanism as a way to rebel. I just don't understand and would like an intelligent, basic explanation of why anyone would choose to follow a creature that has already been defeated. Satan has no power except the power of temptation, and people, even though people are weak and usually fail, can withstand temptation and don't have to listen to anything Satan says. Could you explain why you even see Satan as powerful, especially when Genesis clearly says, "I [God] will crush your head and you [Satan] will strike his heel."
You also never answered my question about people "burying their enemies." I'm very curious as to what your answer to that is. If you ridicule and belittle other beliefs, then the people that prescribe to those beliefs should, according to satanism, rise up and bury you because you've made an enemy of yourself to them. I just fail to see how there would be anyone left to debate with if we all were satanists, whereas Christianity promotes "do unto others as you would do unto you."

To be fair, the winners write history. So, if you agree about everything the Bible, mainstream Christianity and a few chosen books say, then you might be a fool to follow Satan as he has already lost, will lose in the future and also likes to torture his followers.
But seeing as "God" (if that's even his real name) could just have made that shit up to slander his opposition, you might as well choose his side. It's a pretty common tactic, make your enemies look like monsters so your followers will be scared of them. Makes yourself look good. In fact, if I was evil (and "God", undoubtedly is) that's exactly what I'd do. So, Lucifer is probably just the good guy, trying to save you from the evil, sadistic "God" you put your trust in. Very 1984ish. Satan and anarchy ftw.
Gee, only the winners of wars write history? I guess Thucydides, an Athenian, shouldn't have bothered recording the Peloponessian War since Athens lost to Sparta. Speaking of Sparta, we know the brave stance they took at Thermopylae in spite of the fact the Persians overtook them in 3 days. Even though Greece eventually won, it didn't look that way for a long time. Thermopylae happened in 480 BC and the Greco-Persian Wars weren't over until about 448.
I do understand what you're saying, that one side in a conflict tends to demonize the other, but that works vice versa, too. Since you are asking me to accept the premise that God made up a bunch of lies about Satan to win humans over, don't you have to also consider the possibility that Satan is doing the same thing?
You have yet to present any evidence that one is better than the other. I could sit here all day and say bad things about Satan, but instead I'm asking you questions concerning the evidence that Satan benefits your life or is the correct way to live, and all you've managed to do is say bad things about God. Even if God just sits around making up lies as you suggest, what makes following Satan any more true or enlightening?
No, God isn't his real name, lol. It is one of the names we've chosen to call him. What are you getting at there? "When asked who are you, God only answered 'I am what I am' so therefore he's a stupid liar who just likes picking on poor innocent Satan?"

Truth be told I probablt shouldn't matter at all. It just looked like you were making Carey and Spies contemporaries.

I am not telling you to accept that premise. I am just saying that it is just as possible as believing in a God that poops rainbows. Also, I don't see "Satan" doing that, as he never really wrote or officially endorsed a book that made God look like a loser and *******. So, it is pretty impossible that Satan is doing the same thing.

Personally I think followers of both are delusional twats. What I was saying is that it is quite stupid to say one is better than the other if you have really no hard evidence for it (or even for their existence).

Ah, I see you haven't been properly introduced to my friend Mr. Humour. In that case, just disregard everything you don't understand.

mu choice to become a Satanist was not rebeliuos...the only reason i don't know my mom's religion was because she got married to a katholic...and i spell those words with k's because it shows a sign of disrespect and hate torwards those things. i got the idea from the Norwegian way of spelling Antichrist...which is AntiKrist
now, i don't have an answer for that, not now. i need time to think right now. hard time right now

Sounds like rebellion to me.

Ah, 😮 . Touche. I usually leave my sense of humor back in the Pirates forum when I come here. Thanks for the reminder to bring it with me.
Xvamp, what was it about Satanism that appealed to you, and what was it about Christianity that turned you away from it? It seems to me that if you feel such a strong need to show a hate and disrespect to certain things, it's a small wonder you're going through a hard time. People with grudges, that hold onto hate, usually do go through a lot of rough times.
