My opinion: Do it right or don't do it. Don't go inbetween and settle for unrealistic. You and I agreed that the Wolverine movie was much too tame and should have been R due to violence. Same line of thought applies to video games. I just don't like the hypocritical double standard they put on video games and it was more of a comment about that.

I do NOT like the fact that you cannot have a threesome like you could in Jade Empire. That was one of the coolest things in Jade Empire. There's was no reason to force the player to have to choose like that. BOTH, damnit.

I got a kick out of getting the dead corpses (side mission) and go dump them in the well by the chancery. My team looking on as they go thump-thump-splash.. and comes with a reward..lol
Have to say that so far I'm really enjoying it! Glad I picked it up! But just now find the $35 Dragon Age: Origins , i payed more for it.

earlier in the thread i made a post where i agreed that the choices in Dragon Age weren't that major, and didn't really make a huge difference to the game.
Uh, yeah, i was wrong. Really wrong.
The actual gravity of a single dialogue choice can be absolutely pivotal in some places.
Examples (and yes, spoilers):

Having to choose between the werewolves and the dalish elves. Siding with the werewolves gives you the option to wipe out the entire clan living in that encampment. However if you side with the elves, you can actually free the werewolves from their curse.Then there's the Mages and the Templars. Pick the Mages, and they get a second chance. Side with the Templars, and you condemn the Mages to a life of scrutiny and persecution.
Then you actually get to decide who the next Dwarven King will be.
Sure, you still fight the Archdemon at the end of the game, but even then, you adapt your strategy to suit what armies you have at your disposal. and afterwards, you get told just what effects your decisions had during the course of the game and how they will shape the future.
then there are the many ways in which you can straight up piss off your companions and lose them throughout the game.
And of course, this is bioware. If they follow a path similar to Mass Effect, everything you decide in part 1 could greatly effect part 2, no?
honestly, though: in this game, it actually feels like being a good or bad guy has actual consequences, and i love it for it.
I've played through the game a lot more.
I'm almost to the end. I'm doing the landsmeet thing. Already rescued the queen. I, at first, didn't fight all those people, ended up in jail, and had the choice to wait for rescue or attempt escape. I decided to reload (cause I smartly saved before walking into a room with tons of people suspiciously lined up.) It was hard to beat all of those guards. IMO, it was the hardest single fight in the game. Harder than the fight with Flemeth.
I wish there was a way to appease both Morrigan and Leliana. 🙁
Bought the game over the weekend...haven't played a huge amount yet, thanks to finishing up school stuff for the term, but right now I'm level 6, in Lothering. I accidentally ran off the merchant when I told him to stop harassing people ermm
Anyway, I'm enjoying it. I picked it up for PC, which I like better than for the 360. As has yet surprised absolutely no one, I'm playing an Elven Mage. And I love using Tempest the moment a fight starts 😛
Also, my dog is named Chewbacca, hehe.

The woman was really hard true so my tactic was to run down the corridor behind us, it seems only her and a couple of guards will follow. Then its just you and your party fighting the hero.

I did the opposite. I Fought the archers. While i was doing that, my other three characters fought Ser Cathirin. Those three actually killed her before I was done with the archers.
