The opening post doesn't say that the people have to fight Wolverine till one of them drops, just that Wolverine's trying to assassinate them. Bat's wouldn't HAVE to put Wolverine down, all he'd have to do is immobilize him long enough to get away and go to the Batcave to whip up some nifty defenses against his would be assassin(and let's face it, that kind of thing is Bruce's specialty).
I'm not saying that Bruce would win necessarily, but it's not nearly as clear cut as a strait up fight between the two.
1. Punisher
(Frank can duck and weave, but he falls in both scenarios)
2. Batman
(Scenerario 1 I think Bats survives more often than not. Its tough to find somebody that preps like him.
Scenario 2 I think Bats dies eventually, but would probably escape a good bit also. 4/10)
3. Blade
(I dont know enough about Blade to even guess)
4. Dr Doom
(The thing about Doom is that he prepares himself all the time for things like this, but on a much larger scale. Logan has nothing on him.)
5. Mr Fantastic
(Scenario 1 I think Reed wins all day long.
Scenario 2,,,its hard to guess. Reed has great tech, but its been shown more than once that people slip by the Baxter Building security systems. Its almost as if Reed doesnt care for some reason. Reed probably dies more often than not in this scenario.)
6. Professor X
(The Prof dies in both scenarios. Logans to close to him.)
I just remembered after Mag's ripped out Wolverine's Adamatium, Wolverine was telling Jubilee that she should stay away from him and she said "No way I'm the Robin to your Batman." That means either Batman's comics or tv show exist on Marvel Earth and Batman is still a pop culture icon there, as such Wolverine would likely know - like everyone in the real world - that Batman = Bruce Wayne... so he just blows him up a charity gala. 😈

But I seem to be having trouble locating it.

It's not in Uncanny / Adjective-less X-Men (issues 60 - Current anyway) a/ Gen X or Wolverine... or at least I don't remember seeing it in any of those titles while compiling scans for the respect thread.

you do NOT want to go down that road...
I don't wish to get into that either.
But were you saying no to scot offering Logan a leadership postion, becuases if so your wrong. He did it in unlimited. After Logan did a danger room simulation of him and a group of knights defending there home land. scot said it was to gage leadership and then went to offer him a leadership role which Logan turned down and scot said something like some day you will have to lead or some such.

im not disputing that he's asked logan to lead, im just saying that he doesn't do it often... storm or kurt or alex always seem to be ahead in the pecking order, besides, i think the general idea is that logan is better off not having to worry about a team, letting him do his own thing is preferable...

Not overly often, but a lot more then msot x-men. Prof x has asked him to as well as storm and alpha flight is always trying to gett him to coem back and lead.
He actually a pritty dam good leader, he however dislikes leading.

agree with the rest of the post.
also the fact he used a lot in solo mission and is on many teams as well as his own thing plays a factor

i disagree... srugi mean, x-force suits him, but a normal x-men team? not imo...
He lead the new x-men for a while and very well I might add. He also lead alpha flight, team x as well any mean other military and non military teams. He also has a number of times taken charge in the field with the new avenegers.

when did he lead new x-men? or do you mean the kids?
I have a serious problem with Slade being compared to Logan.
Slade was chief tactician and coordinator for the hero hunting squads of Alex Luthor's society. He's also consistently been invited to almost every major supervillain organization.
He's beaten the Titans pretty much every time. His senses are high meta human, given that he was able to nail the Atom with a laser pen when Ray was trying to sneak up on him. He's got a winning record against Flashes. He's spent millions on 'just in case' weapons like K-nite grenades, which he used on Supes during the Green Arrow/Black Canary wedding raid, which he not only helped plan, but was the only super villain to escape the net afterwards.
And that's not even getting into his spiderman level movements, his class 8 or so strength, his consistently wrecking top tiers and metas alike, etc.
Even other villains respect and defer to Slade for his tactics.

Originally posted by TricksterPriestSo he's a bit like Punisher in that regard whereas Wolverine doesn't usually rely on preparation.

Strength wise, he's been overpowered by Azreal.
Wolverine wrecks top tiers and metas every other month. He just gets more flak for doing it. 😐

Nuff said.

It's pretty impressive that his punches can effect superhumans like Wonder Girl, etc.
