It's pretty impressive that his punches can effect superhumans like Wonder Girl, etc.

He's referring to the time that Storm was stripped of her powers. She forced Wolverine to lead the team while she was gone, and he did so until the X-Men died in order to seal the Trickster, at which point they were re-united with Storm, and she took command again.

oh... so this was when scott was leading x-factor and storm was all but useless?

Yes, but both Nightcrawler and Alex were on the team at the time, and Storm still chose an unwilling Wolverine over either of them, and Nightcrawler at least had already had some experience as team leader by that point.

Anyways, Battlehammer never claimed that Logan was a better leader than either Scott or Storm, only that the only reason he doesn't lead more often is because he dislikes it.

I just remembered after Mag's ripped out Wolverine's Adamatium, Wolverine was telling Jubilee that she should stay away from him and she said "No way I'm the Robin to your Batman." That means either Batman's comics or tv show exist on Marvel Earth and Batman is still a pop culture icon there, as such Wolverine would likely know - like everyone in the real world - that Batman = Bruce Wayne... so he just blows him up a charity gala. 😈
Your wording is slightly off and so is when it happened.

But basically: (X-Factor#70)

DD talks about Superman in the new ASM.
