I played Marines first but I switched just before the patch made them better and Eldar worse. Yaaaay!
But actually it was because Marines are too elite for me, and in any case I'll be playing them to death in campaign mode when the full game comes out.
I'm more a Tau player, and the Eldar are the closest fit right now.

i've gone through every race i possibly could (even the tau: cloaked guys and long range fire warriors ftw), but i always seem to end up back on the space marines. they just seem to suit my style of play the best...

me too. i doubt i'll ever get used to the idea of downloading a game i'm paying good money for... i like having a physical copy. will it have to be registered on steam, do you know? or can we just install and play it out of the case?
Yes, it will have to be registered on Steam. In fact it's a fully Steamed-up game.
I am mostly getitng it boxed because I ordered it ages ago before digital versions became available; am getting a good price on it too.
Other than a faster install, the case for having physical copies is starting to diminish a bit.

Unfortunatley, but theres a good thing and a bad thing, bad that we cant use them right away, good that if theres only one race per expansiuon, when that race comes out to make a worthwhile expansion the race will prob be getting a lot of loving, a lot of effort will prob be put into making them epic.
