This is way different from Dredd. The first Judge Dredd, although fun, was ultimately not very good and had tons of room for improvement. The original Robocop is simply great already. Dredd is the type of movie that needed rebooted. I think films that have potential to be good but were not executed well enough are the ones that need fixed, and therefore I'm fine with them being rebooted. Movies that are already great don't need rebooted. I guess I view reboots and remakes as ways of fixing movies.
