I believe that hand will be exposed in the movie. I'm thinking it is a nod to the hand being blown off scene in the original. But I hope it still gets blown off in the climax of the movie, making him more at a disadvantage against the villain.

I heard the hand things being pre-emptively defended/praised as "wink to the knowing" on the line in the original where the techs initially tell Morton that they were able to "save the arm" prompting the cited "full body prosthesis" line...

Well by that token, everything that exists probably should be sold on screen for a dollar to an aging Benny Hill type, Bobby should now be able to magically fly, and Robocop will probably grant the convenience store robber his chanted, repeatedly expressed "wish"... (and since Lewis is now a dude, fair chance of that now happening.) ..since all logic has gone out of the window for sake of "what if?!?!" tomfoolery at the writing stage...

aw, f*ck! really? why are hey making everything dark-- scratch that, black? i like the old suit way WAAAY better..

Iconic means little to Hollywood these days.
I'm guessing the people behind this remake are counting on an audience who were too young to remember the original.

f*ck shit balls.. whatever.. the suit might--MIGHT look better on screen, but i doubt it.. they better have a damn good screen play for this..

Looks more like Iron Man/Batman to me.

Which means they went out of the way to save the hand and implant it onto the cybernetic arm, so it must be for finger-banging purposes.
