Don’t punk out. I had my first prep ruled out, even though I thought I was following the rules. Practically gave my second match away, because lil to know way to accesses my PC. And I bleed my heart out, to find more innovative ways to make use of my team and apply what I thought was the most effective way to beat Digi’s team.

I don’t agree with some of the judges ruling, only because some of their points seem out of place. But maybe its due to me. I have the tendency to over complicate my plans and comments. All in all, it is what it is. I never back down, and I don’t look back.

Yeah I felt like that in the first (and only) tournament I was in. Then again it got to the point where I had to beat people who were in it just to be assholes.

I'm sorry you lost Fangirl. If not for the legal technicality that was a surefire win for you in my opinion. The issue that I found, and why I had to vote against you in the end, is because when the Miracle Machine rug had been pulled out from underneath you you had no contingency plans. By the wording of you're own plan, you'd depowered Grunge and Matrix by having Faust tap their souls, but then used the machine to grant them the powers after the fact. With the machine destroyed, you didn't have anything else to fall back on due to banking so much on the machine and not having any implements independent of it save Faust. It wasn't "politics", per se, it was just a really bad break with the machine having been destroyed per canon.

I hope you'll reconsider quitting. There's only 2 more matches until your season is complete.

Also showed Faust manipulating telepathic energy with looker as well as matrix breaking free of brainiac's warworld amped telepthy. As well as her resistint gorilla grodd's mental blast.
And the last point. She was invisible. at anytime she could grab that robot and absorb his entire being into her. taking over systems and power. And I'm going to cry sour over it. of all of my defeats, thiers was truly the most undeserving. Hell. They couldn't even hit the tourney caps on speed.

I bumped the updated match schedule, standings, judges, etc. to the Odds thread for easy perusal, since it has a tendency to get buried quickly in this thread.

There are only five spots for the play offs right? Why are we doing these last few matches again? Seems that the spots are already picked out.

Is this really necessary man?

4 spots. Realistically, there's 5 teams fighting for 4 spots. Some matches, granted, won't have massive importance. But for those going to the playoffs, it will determine seeding. And I think I'm the only one mathematically assured of going to the playoffs at this point, so the others still have to solidify themselves and/or fight for that last spot.

There are 4 playoff spots, so mathematically you're not completely out of it, but need to win your last matches unanimously and hope the 2 teams ahead of you lose their remaining matches unanimously.

Huh? It was intended as a joke. I've publicly tried to rally FG to debate through the end of this thing, since there's a lot of incentive for anyone to finish it out.

Yeah, and she's reacted negatively to it each time. The prodding needs to stop. Some people are sensitive and prone to reacting in a less than ideal way to these kinds of barbs, and then it leads to an issue when it's taken the wrong way and tempers flare up. You've witnessed the reactions just as I have.

You know what, I just re-read your match, and I did misread that part. I'd thought I'd read that you'd tapped your entire team with Faust and left them all powerless, but actually it was just the 3 (Echo, Artemis, and Brainiac) that you'd. That does change things a bit.

I think I'm actually going to change my vote, because that would mean that the Grunge/Supergirl amalgam wouldn't gave been powerless (which was the determining factor in my match; that Faust was running solo after depowering his entire team).

Anyway ill, I think you know that I'm the first to promote tourney involvement, and also to prevent needless attacks on others. Fangirl and I have talked at length about reasons to stay active in tournaments, and I've even gone so far as to help him with individual aspects of his debating and strategies. And I wouldn't have said it if I thought there was a chance of it being taken as an insult or in a negative way.

So I understand the sentiment, but there's no need to get testy over it, nor a need to issue ultimatums like I'm breaking some unwritten protocol.
