Are The Dark Knight fans becoming really really annoying?

My point was that there are "certain fanboys" for anything that should be banned.

Didn't wolverine8888 gets banned or whatever the hell is name was?

How has this gone to a 'should be banned' conversation? Should anyone annoying be banned?

It'd certainly make things easier.

There'd be less smilies.

I liked The Dark Knight, I thought it was a very good movie, I mean it was no Big LeBowski or anything . . . but damn, it's just a movie. Sure it beat a bunch of box office records and whatnot, but it's a film. Yeah, I get excited about other movies, but damn, some people are acting as if The Dark Knight is a better action film than the first Die Hard.

Discuss. hmm

Aren't you just annoyed cuz someone said TDK is better than Hellboy 2? ha-son

...I wouldn't know... this is the first thread I've seen about TDK outside of the Batman forum...here in KMC

anyways.... Is a great movie... I would say best comic-book based movie.... but ceirtainly not the best movie ever

... anyways: why bother about IDMB?... Metacritic or rottentomatoes are more reliable sites...

I guess the more appropriate question is should anyone be banned for being a fan boy?

I don't think so, unless their fanboyism causes them to bash people.

But members are banned for bashing anyway.

Never did find metacritic all that legitimate. Just a hub to quickly access reviews from publications that matter.

Yes, they're annoying. I wouldn't care if everyone on this forum had a Joker avatar or sig, but don't go trolling other superhero forums.

Yeah, let's not challenge the legitimacy of the first Die Hard, the Hamlet of films.

Hamlet of action films.

Exactly.

What Hamlet is to boring old gay stuff, Die Hard is to awesome action.

And gay propaganda, but that's why you love it.

I like the bits where stuff blows up.

I like when he curses.

No, not at all. It had to do with about fifty other things though, and I never mentioned anything about what IMDB states.

I did, because it annoys me that a bunch of people who have probably seen nothing else from the imdb top ten list, go on there and mindlessly rate such a film a ten. thereby pushing a really good film off the number one spot.

I loved the movie, and I posted a few times in the Batman forum, but that place is filled mostly with little kids. I think that explains the type of behavior that were discussing here. Go look for yourself if you think I'm joking...

(See what I did there? So next level...)

"The Dark Knight" is the most awesome thing awesome ever made into awesome.

For me Metacritic is really good when it comes to the video games. When it comes to movies...they aren't as good. Rotten tomatoes is pretty good with movies reviews.

My take...

..I don't need tomatoe metters or imdb top 10 or some countdown to determine if I'm going to enjoy the film or not.

I think people who love countdowns or top ten of anything and also consider them flawless.... are far more fanboyish than fanboys themselves. When some one ask for my favorite top ten films...I usually note that they're not in any specific order. I like to keep them in no particular order.

Pure genius. 😄

The movie is a very good popcorn movie with better themes than most blockbusters, but it's flawed and not the best movie ever. Not even close.
