USH'S STAR WARS GAME 2008- 'New Blood' (prequel for new players)

Hmm, I will phrase what I think is important as bullet points.

We are more powerful and stronger than you

Even if you beat us it is ultimately fatal to you

We don't mind torturing little children (i.e yours)

If you are on our side we are not that bad leaders and there are options of much greater happiness with us

Ogros wants to rule you as well and would be worse than us
Those are the major points I would focus one (of course some more implied than outright said)

Dark Side, you may want to add warning about Ogros to the list. He would propably love to have other leaders under his sway, and it is better to work for petty tyrant or Demigods?

Edit- you posted at the same time, Bardock.

Jovan- whilst his absence does give you cause for concern, it doesn't actually materially change any of your conclusions- and hence, nor does it change the manner of your bad feeling about the deal.

I understand, but I want the entire miner-society of the planet to agree with the outcome so they can't in the end when we leave claim they were duped or anything. When I get him to agree with the outcome of not giving them more than the 2/3ths they already have coming to them, the situation is "fixed" and I can persuade them to make more effort to make the mines profitable. But for this I first need to get the guy here otherwise I might fear nothing is solved and strikes return when we leave the planet

Renegades-
Hmmm... Probably would have been smarter to hide and then film... Ah well. Any chance I can lose them in the chaos, get into a hiding spot and start filming again or is this a, 'we've seen you and your not going to get away' thing?

You might be able to stay clear of them for a little bit; unlikely for long.

What do the Jedi want to do in the recess? People are milling around, talking stuff over.

I want to speak to Trema and/or other big shots of the miners

Denzral nods to Jovan as the recess begins. "I sense something immediate, but not right here. I cannot tell what." Begins walking towards Trema and Fisk.

Renegades-
I'd like to try get ahead of the kill teams a little, maybe a few buildings away, find somewhere I can set up as I can get a decent shot of them as they advance, cause carnage and that kind of thing. If not... would leaping on top of a building (If I can jump that high, not sure how tall their buildings are.) for an over head shot of everything be too obvious?

Trema and/or Fisk will listen to you.

-

That would certainly get you good footage- but comes at increase risk! What will it be, do you think?

Renegades-
Hmmm, Wentar will risk it. He's not about to put his personnel well being above what this mission represents. His own safety is nothing compared to the massacre of hundreds of innocents.

"Trema, as you know this is the last day of the negotiations. I feel it is better to have a deal than no deal... but I do not wish to do wrong to the miners. It is thus imperative that the entire mining society is rightfully represented in these important talks. This means we urgently have to speak Eckerly especially because he can be the key to the contracts. Is there a way to contact him? Can Tarjan perhaps help in this?"

Trema doesn't like it but he does in principle agree; it seems there is little in it for the miners to hold out, if the offer is otherwise going to be pulled from the table.

But he's really got no idea about Eckersly; the agreement may have to be made in spite of his absence.

-

(I shall await Sean before moving on with you, Wentar)

do I have enough notion of Law or anything to know if an agreement without him is still good enough? I mean, the Miner's Guild big shot is there and all...

You don't have law but an agreement made here would be binding- it's actually for Fisk to sign. The Miners don't sign, it is just their strike is making signing irrelevant. If the body of miners agree not to strike then it's all over.

but will the representative of the miners' guild represent the body of the miners?

"As I see it, there is no way we can get more funds to the minors, not at this stage. And with Eckersly missing we might find it a little quarrelsome from the minors. Is there anyone who can personally repressent the minors?"

To Tarjan: "Tarjan, can you put together a search party to locate Eckersly?"

Eckersly has deputies and the like that are here; if they agree then that will do it.

"My men are all deployed providing security for this meeting!" says Tarjan. "I don't have the manpower to scramble around looking for an errant miner."

Then Denz asks to get a new representative off the minors elected.

Not in the middle of negotiations! No chance of that.

Even temporarily?
