Jonn is going down hard, especially when The Sentry grabs his behind and flies him into the sun for the big meltdown.

How wrong you are, The Collective did have possesion of The Shadow Kings powers as seen in Avengers, how he escaped with his powers are beyond me, but he did escape death before so it is quite possible for him to have retained his powers even after losing them.... you just can't keep a good bad guy down perhaps?!?

And how often does he revert to the fabled Fernus? Jonn would never be able to defeat The Void. In your own words The Sentry is The Void correct? This is the same Void that could not be affected by.... Black Bolt and The Inhumans, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Namor, Spiderman, and Dr. Strange... thats a pretty tall order I would think... now when has Jonn ever showed that he would be able to wipe the floor with the combined might of those Heros? Ok let me break it down for you, The JLA and the White Martians, would not even be able to affect The Void that was as I said was unaffected by those characters mentioned. Black Bolt alone would tear the green meat off of J'onns Martian bones. In fact those guys would look like this pic... helpless!

I just used what you said about Sentry being The Void and vice versa.... J'onn would lose to The Sentry, he is superior to J'onn in all ways. J'onns Telepathy and psychic assaults would never be more than a mild irritant to someone who has masked his presense to the greatest Telepaths on the 616 Marvel Earth. I have seen the guy in action, and of course he is powerful, but it was NOTHING compared to what a lot of top-tiers are capable of.
Perhaps you missed how powerful he truly is, do you think you should re-read all of the issues that you own with The Sentry in them? All of those Top Tiers that you are reffering to had some pretty low showins as well if I am not mistaken. But taking Sentry's high end feats into account should give you a better picture of what and how powerful he is, and to top it off, Bob hasn't quite mastered all of his power sets yet if my deduction is correct. Remember he is an amnesiac. Superman's begginings were similar, anyone remember when Superman used to hop around like a flea? or when he couldn't use heat vision? For his debutting year Sentry has proven to be very powerful.

The Shadow King retained his powers after M-Day so his powers were not part of the Collective's. Ergo there need be no explanation of how "he retained his powers even after losing them" as he didn't lose his powers. Even if the Collective did have Shadow King's, the Shadow King's greatest mental feat is trying and failing to reach his darkness into everyone on Marvel Earth, Martian Manhunter is a superior telepath.
Saying that one must be able to beat the Void to beat Sentry is like saying one must be able to beat Onslaught to beat Xavier and Magneto, or saying one must be able to beat Fernus to beat Martian Manhunter. All fallacies.
