War of Kings (Black Bolt's back!)

Started by tjcoady8 pages

And, with WOK 3, and Maximus' comment to Medusa, Crystal, and Karnak on page 9 with "we'll beat them or they'll join us..." ..... what is Black Bolt, Maximus, and Medusa planning?

They refused they arbitration agreement of the Guardians.... and I know the Guardians are being made out to slightly ridiculous.... but when you show up with Star-Lord and the former Quasar, it's not the same kind of thing.

BB, his brother, and his wife are plotting something that's going to UTTERLY **** up space/time. I mean, the GoG are throwing Warlock and Vance Astro and Groot and Drax and Gamora at the Shia'ra, but it's way more than that. I'm really, really interested in what DnA have to do with the "future" of the Galaxy.

My favorite issues of both the "post Civil War MU" and the "post Annihilation" Nova were when Richarch comes back to Earth and basically (and this was way before Worldmind turned on him... like eighteen issues).... "Stark WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING? WHY DID YOU NOTHING TO HELP THE TRILLIONS THAT WERE DYING?'

Abnett and Lanning are brilliant.... I'm way looking forward to the status quo they establish with the cosmics....

I actually do appreciate Bendis as much as I get pissed at him sometimes.... we have DnA on the Cosmics.... and Fraction on the mutants.... Brubaker and Hickman on the undercover stuff.... if only he'd let a guy lick Hickman (or even Ellis..... he's still on Marvel's payroll) on the Magic stuff.... that'd be an UNBELIEVABLE line-up.

Who thinks that the M'kraan crystal may be used somehow in the WOK ? imo Vulcan is stupid enough to try and use it a weapon as disasterous as it would be.

I would hope they don't since I'm getting sick of stories involving that thing. I am, however, anxious about the Vulcan/Blaastar/Talon alliance and hoping Ravenous gets involved in WOK some how.

Oh shyte - August Solicits!

War Kings #6
Guardians of the Galaxy #17 - Warlock, Polaris, Havok!
Nova #28 - Ravenous, Xenith, and the Imperial Guards! Damn, and there's still a chance that Robbie might die: OH YEAH!

Nice, the "to the death" title would be more intriguing if not for the fact War Lock is in the cover of the next issue.

Also, has anyone seen the second installment of Kallark's history? (WoK warriors 2)

I know, Mentor, Oracle and Magique in the same comic. Plus there's Electron, Scintilla, Nightside, Starbolt, Voyager,Hussar, Fang, Hobgoblin, Plutonia and Titan appearing all over this crossover I might explode. I'm so happy that the Imperial Guard are starting to get some panel time.

Pardon my ignorance, but how is the war between the Kree and Shiar going to tear apart the fabric of the universe? 😕

(I've only read the first two issues and a bit of WOK 3) And yes I'll pick up the rest WOK on the second to last issue after I've got a read on how good it is overall but for now...

From what I've read so far it's hard to root for Vulcan as villain I think he'd do better as an anti-hero.

Really? :/

No problemo, Thanos will save the day at the end. 😮‍💨

It seems that the annihilation war weakened the fabric of the universe, getting a huge armada from the Negative Zone through the Crunch, using Galactus as a weapon, etc. There are holes in the universe and weapons such as Nega Bombs can cause reality rips because the fabric is weak (imagine the bleed, other universes start to phase into 616). That's more or less the idea.

Makes perfect sense now. 👆

Read last issue already?

Introducing the Raptors was well done. Wonder what the Guardians will be doing next issue.

trying to save Knowhere from being destroyed by both the Inhuman and the Imperial Guard.

WOK #4 is a great issue tho. Didn't understand how Talon pulled it off but then I realized it was Razor who was in Chandilar pulling off the assassination attempt, not Talon.

Kinda had issue with them not featuring Havok due more, since it left the feeling that he could've done more to protect Lilandra. Then you had Korvus who was f##### useless. You're suppose to protect Lilandra - not Rachel - idiot!

I was so happy Lilandra died. She is useless, it is about time she got killed off.

Maybe she won't die, it seems to me she is getting a "War of Kings Warrior" book, so who knows?

But yeah, as a character she is kind of meh.

Only because she wasn't hooking up with Gladiator more often. More of her banging Gladiator would make her a much more intriguing character.

imo, war of kings changed darkhawk from a "meh" character into a "that guy could be cool soon" type of guy.
