War of Kings (Black Bolt's back!)

So, methinks Vulcan's been on a plot-needed powerup this event. If he isn't, he's about to get his ass handed to him. But I think he is, as it would also explain the thorough trouncing of Warlock in Guardians, and the upcoming final issue.

Minimal tie-ins (you really only need GotG to follow everything), and a solid plot. This event still has my approval. It's not great, but Marvel's cosmic stuff has been good for some time now. Thinking back to Starlin's old stuff, I can't remember a period where Marvel's cosmic stories weren't good. Much (much) more consistent than Marvel Earth.

WoK 5 was mediocre.

Save for Ronan and Crystal, the entire Royal Family looks like idiot with this Terrigen Bomb thing. The only thing saving this would be WOK 6 revealing Maximus mind controlling Black Bolt and everyone throughout the series and this bomb is only a ruse to kill off Black Bolt.

I'm absolutely loving this series.

I think it's surprising that Marvel's cosmic stories are turning out to be the best stories, in my opinion. Loved Annihilation, loving War of Kings.

Its a shame we didn't get many powerhouse fights. Vulcan vs BB was quite nice know.

So Lilandra is dead and now Gladiator is the King? I don't think I like this.

Vulcan shouldn't have been able to beat Adam, much less Black Bolt. But I like how this tied into Thanos Imperative.
