Nah. McClane is a beast, but his tactic of withstanding a beating long enough to get lucky doesn't make him the best by a long shot.

It's possible that, because most Transformers, while built like brick shithouses (As in, insanely durable) they, in most cases, simply aren't as... well.... "thick" as Unicron is. That, and, there is only so much room in a limb to fit a cannon with power feeds and other internals as opposed to dedicated firearms.

Besides, Rumble and Frenzy aren't going to be as well armoured and durable as, say, Starscream or Soundwave are also due to micronized construction for their primary robot forms.

That said, I don't think the G1 Autobots had as much hesitation to share weapons tech as later generations do (Especially movie verse and the Prime toons.)
