I dont have the scans, but yes thor was going to town on rulk, and after hulk saves rulk from thors final blow, thor complains to hulk "you dare take the moment of final battle from me?" and then a-bomb convinces thor to let hulk fight this one, and then hulk takes the fight.
So im assuming thor was goin to finish him off until hulk stepped in.
