Tapping into the Force, Xavier sprints ahead with superhuman speed, just narrowly keeping ahead of the exploding trip mines as he runs through them! Let's make a Force roll on that... oh, a 2.
By the time Xavier makes it to the end of the narrow corridor, he has taken another 5 damage from close calls. The corridor behind you is filled with smoke and flames; you are not sure if it will be safe to go out that way after all those explosions.
You have come to a simple round room. The only exit (besides the way you just came) is to your left.
In this place of seemingly total darkness, the glowrod casts an eerie light. There is nothing in this round room, so you press on. The door to your left carries you down a short flight of stairs that turn to the left again, so that the wider corridor you end up in runs parallel to the one you just came in.
You faintly sense danger but you cannot pin it on anything.
Observation check... though you don't actually have the skill... says you do not notice anything out of the ordinary, possibly due to the limited lighting of your glowrod.
Kinetic sensors pick up your movements, triggering the trap. Energy walls hum to life at either end of the hallway, sealing you in, and dozens of thick laser beams burn through the wall and start to dance about the corridor, trying to incinerate you.
These beams have a constant stream, so that they rather look like lightsabers moving to and fro across the corridor from emitters hidden behind now-melting wall panels, creating a criss-crossing network of lasers. They can be reflected with your lightsaber, but you have to follow it as it goes, and they act collectively as four low skill attackers.
The energy walls start to close in from their respective ends...
Standing still while these lasers dance about sounds like a dreadful idea, not to mention you are not sure that there would be anywhere to go on the other side of these walls.
But... your idea is not without merit. Another Observation check (a 20!) says that you spot gray-colored panels in the center of the corridor. They must be important, but they are nine frames away.
