STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Runaway

Fine then three shall suffice for now 😛

Moving down the corridor, you step in and out of the slicing lasers just before throwing your lightsaber toward the panels. You take a penalty as you try to keep your lightsaber from colliding with the lasers, but manage to send the lightsaber crashing into the first panel, in the ceiling, rolling a 13. Then you roll a 15, and the lightsaber withdraws and sinks into the second panel, on the right wall. But with a hefty penalty, your lightsaber misses the third and the blade is struck by a laser, knocking it to the ground.

Without your lightsaber, you cannot use an all-encompassing defense against them. However, you manage to keep mostly clear... except for that one laser that comes waaay too close, for 7 damage.

Ok then Xavier tries to retrieve his lightsaber. Through a combination of using the force and moving towards.

Or would simply standing still be better for not getting hit by the lasers?

Passive dodge assumes that you are doing your best to move away from the death beams, so moving ahead or standing still makes no difference.

Force roll to retrieve the lightsaber and not accidentally damage it. Going for it?

How far away is it?

Could Xavier make it to it in one turn?

If so then Xavier will just move to retrieve himself.

Six frames to get there, as you moved forward when you threw your lightsaber.

Xavier will risk retrieving the the lightsaber using the force then. Still moving to it.

Moving toward it while calling it will reduce the risk... and the dice say it is yours! It snaps back to life upon reaching your hands. Just in time to Defend. One laser comes close again for 7 damage, but everything else you manage to sidestep or redirect with your lightsaber.

Ok then let's try this again.

Master Saber Throw for the remaining two boxes ha-son

Moving forward again?

Yeah

Okay, I can tell you that 2 and 7 don't quite cut it- though 7 is close!- and your lightsaber again gets knocked away by the lasers.

The good news is, you are right on top of the panels now and can retrieve your lightsaber easily.

The better news is that the lasers miss!

Xavier picks up his lightsaber and slashes the final boxes.

You can only do one at a time, unless you have a multiple attack power.

Xavier has Twirl 😱

No question there. You drive your lightsaber into the third panel, withdraw with a twirl, and drive it into the last one, destroying the kinetic sensors that alerted the lasers to your presence. Without the sensors active, they shut off. The hallway around you is now molten from the heat.

Xavier looks for the exit then.

The energy walls that had been closing in shut off when the sensors went down, so it is straight down the hallway for you, into another circular room with a doorway onward to the left, leading to another set of stairs, leading to another hallway that seems unpleasantly warm and glowing ahead of you.

Just to keep track of things, you are currently at 24 damage.

Xavier barely peaks his head out into the hallway. He looks for any more of those sensor things.

No sensors this time. Instead, the hallway beyond has a small number of blaster turrets. The intense heat is being supplied by flamethrowers that are shooting up through the floor at regular intervals.
