You have no clue where Trax has gone.
The procession of pirates follows Friste through the rows of stasis containers until he comes to the stone steps before the altar. Friste ascends the steps and runs his hands over the black altar, smiling devishly.
"Bring the prisoners to the altar," Friste commands, and the pirates force them up the stairs with the nozzles of their blasters.
Friste then turns to you. "Are you prepared to see something horrifying?"
Friste responds but letting his smile grow wider.
When the prisoners have been brought to the altar, the pirates keep them under their watch with their blasters, but Friste gestures for one to be brought forward. The Republic soldier is shoved forwards to the floor, his hands bound behind his back.
"Congratulations," Friste says to the soldier. "You will be the first experience the wonders of Sith lore in thousands of years..."
The soldier spits at him, but Friste stops the saliva in midair with a gesture.
Friste lets the spittle drop to the floor, then raises his hands outwards, fingers stretched towards the Republic soldier. The young soldier's blue eyes are wide with fright, his blonde hair matted with sweat, his ill-shaven face blanched.
You can vaguely sense what it is that Friste is doing. He is trying to include the Key of Mortez in his connection to the Force... not a simple task. You are not sure if you could do it. But sure enough... you sense a ripple of the Dark Side wash over you when Friste's intense concentration pays off.
And that is when the first bolt of lightning arcs from Friste's fingertips and connects with the Republic soldier, who screams in agony. The crimson-colored electrical wave ravages the soldier's body for only a brief second before the lightning reverses itself and returns into Friste's tensed hands.
The Republic soldier falls to the floor, gasping heavily. But... something is different about him...
You sense that the pirates are afraid but highly curious... but that changes to a sense of triump as they see what change has come over the soldier.
The soldier has aged. When you see him, his face is not that of a young soldier but of a grizzled man, halfway through his life. He has lost his youthful strength and has the appearance of an anorexic. He is going gray and his eyes look tiredly about from his thin face...
Friste unleashes a second volley of crimson energy that sends the soldier crashing to the ground once more. The Dark Jedi laughs as you look on.
You can only be thankful that your senses are not so finely tuned, and you can sense the immense pain that the soldier is feeling... until the fantastical assault upon him stops. The red energy is drawn back into Friste's hand and channeled into the Key of Mortez, which glows faintly.
The soldier stands for a moment, and you see he has become a withered corpse. One of the pirates nudges him with the tip of his blaster and the soldier's brittle legs buckle. Upon hitting the ground, he becomes a pile of dust within his own uniform.
"I have removed the energy of life from him," Friste says, his tone triumphant. "So I shall from you all..." His comment is directed at the Republic soldiers, but you feel he really does mean everyone.
What is Xavier doing at this point?
As you edge closer to him, Friste spreads his hands wide and unleashes a torrent of the red lightning at the Republic hostages as the pirates shove them forward. They all scream and wither under the assault of the draining power of the Key...
When it is done, the Republic soldiers have convulsed into fetal positions and collapse into dust when the pirates nudge them. The pirates cry out in victory over their Republic oppressors, and so are not expecting it when Friste suddenly turns the red lightning on them. The lightning arcs through the pirates, connecting all of them to Friste's assault. They fry and convulse and become dust too.
Leaving just the two Dark Jedi and Xavier alone in the great tomb.
