Another problem with polls and Obama is that many of the big name polls only call people with a Lan Line. Meaning no cell phones. Since many Obama supporters are young, and most young people ONLY have a cell phone, they aren't getting polled. Thus you can safely assume that most of these polls would actually be a bit higher for Obama.

True, but will the youngsters come out and vote?

I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating:

In 2004 you had everybody from MTV to Michael Moore to P.Diddy (Vote Or Die) Combs to Eminem (Mosh!) on the airwaves/internet/tv trying to get young people to vote against Bush and he ended up winning with the first absolute majority of the popular vote in 16 years!

Dumb kids were too busy watching John Stewart to vote. 😛

Historically that is true, however in the primaries young people did show up in record numbers, so it stands to reason that the same will happen in November.

And from what I understand there have also been record number of young people signing up to vote.

So it does look like this year we may actually see a good amount show up and vote.

Careful now.

'Twas a joke. (hence the smilie)

As a youth leader, I love teens and believe alot in their abilities and RESPONS-ibility to the world.

Hoping that many come out to vote.

For McCain. 👆

Most teens I know, are non-religious and anti-war, but then I again, I'm from the United Kingdom.

Am I the only one wondering... with an incumbent Republican President with as much as 73% disapproval... a relatively downcast US (and world) economy... essentially a gift election... what on Earth are the Democrats doing?

(... and is there any buyer's remorse among them...?)

I heard something that Nancy Pelosi doesn't want to Impeach Bush/Cheney.

Oh, so that's why Republicans don't like her.

If Pelosi starts campaigning to impeach Bush it will bring attention to the lack of anything she has done as speaker of the house.

Be right back, going off to save the ****ing rain forest or something while not doing my job.

I would assume that none of the Democratic leadership, nor ex-candidates, nor the nominee are moving to impeach Bush is that they know it would be fruitless since he'd likely be acquitted, a two-thirds majority in the Senate is required for removal from office - which again seems rather pointless considering he has all of 4 months left in office...

5 months, but had Kucinich have had his way, Cheney and Bush would have been impeached in 07.

You keep mentioning the "absolute majority" thing, but it's essentially worthless. Ross Perot took 18.8 percent of the popular vote in 1992 and 8.4% in 1996, making it absolutely impossible for a candidate to get an "absolute majority". There were no strong third-party bids in 2000 and 2004.

Bush winning a majority of the popular vote in 2004 wasn't a testament to his strengths, it was a testament to the lack of a Ross Perot-like figure

😂

So why are you Obama supporters voting for him?

Can you run down your reasons?

1. I agree with him on many issues.

2. He seems pretty smart and he can string together sentences and people actually want to hear him speak without doing so for the sake of comedy.

3. He probably has a big dick.

I bet you that the majority would say "Because he is tight (hip) " or "Because he is black, so he MUST be different than old white men" or maybe even "Because he wants to change things".

But it's okay Mccain supporters have their own petty reasons.

Kerry has a big dick. Seriously.

I came up with a formula of how big your dick is.

Height (Kerry) * Deepness of voice (black people) / admiration for the Republicans (Hillary)

1. Not a W
2. Sounds like he actually knows how to run a country
3. Make America better in terms of healthcare, economy
4. Get out of Iraq
5. Won't go in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, North Korea and any other bullshit
6. Wants to end war on drugs (but not the traditional American way by blowing shit up to an extreme amount)
7. A lot like Kerry

I'm a Democrat. I am very strongly in favor with a lot of the positions that the Democratic party advocates. These include but are by no means limited to: expanding health care to every man, woman and child, social programs to benefit those in need, abortion rights, gay rights, benefiting the middle class, alternative energy, and a whole host of other issues. Obama is closer to where I stand on these issue than McCain will ever be.
