Don't quote me like that again. Don't play cute with me.I did not say "vote libertarian"
I clearly said
"oh, I might give my vote to the Libertarian or Independent party"
Practice what you preach.

I am sure you meant "pathetic FANBOYS" and "FU" in the least belittling way there is.
It's official. Nancy Pelosi is the running mate.
Here's the article for how it leaked early:http://topics.cnn.com/topics/barack_obama/runningmate_picked

Why do you think you can go around telling people not to quote you? This is a discussion forum, you're opinion is going to be challenged, moderator or not.
Personally, I agree with the idea of staying neutral. However, I do not agree at all with your reasons for doing so - they are most definitely immature, and in my opinion, lose you all credibility in a political debate.

He was referring to Bardock editing the quote to include the phrase "also, vote Libertarian". Note he said "don't quote me like that again".
New Rueters poll puts McCain 5 pts above Obama:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26308429
It also says that voters found him better suited to handle the failing economy, by a lead of 49% to 40%.
As many have pointed out before, polls are subjective and things will change all the time. For example, Ruters had Obama leading by 7 points in July. (and June, I believe) So we see how things change.
At Gallup, it's much closer with Obama at 45% and McCain at 44%. http://www.gallup.com/poll/election2008.aspx (though it should be noted, that Obama had been comfortably beating McCain by around 5 points for most of the last 2 months)
Another point of interest: The first poll by Ruters that was released today (showing McCain in the lead) was taken from Thursday through Saturday...before McCain's impressive showing at the Saddleback forum. I'd imagine you'll see a bit of bounce up for that in the next round of polling.
Then Obama will name Biden as his VP, get a bump, have a great convention and get another bump, and 'round and 'round it goes in the world of political polling.
I did an LOL on that one too. I support McCain (reluctantly, mind you) because of his foreign policy, social issues stance, and immigration policy. But the economy isn't a strong suit of his, and he freely admits that.
I think that (in this one particular poll, anyway) his numbers of beating Obama on the economy has more to do with people feeling comfortable with McCain's overall experience and years as a leader, compared to Obama's freshness.
Another problem with polls and Obama is that many of the big name polls only call people with a Lan Line. Meaning no cell phones. Since many Obama supporters are young, and most young people ONLY have a cell phone, they aren't getting polled. Thus you can safely assume that most of these polls would actually be a bit higher for Obama.

I agree with that by and large (not McCains policies mind you).
I am totally ignorant of Obama's economic plan, so I'm not saying it would be better...
But god, 4 more years of republican economics?? invest in Bombarider and Exxon. LOL but nothing else
