I know he's an idiot, I need to know if he's worth correcting. I whipped up some pseudo-intellectual BS to throw at him:
You do realize that FOX news is a media outlet as well? To denounce the media is to denounce FOX news. The media is merely a source of information, and the majority actually leans right. (conservative) Obama is not a Muslim, he was an active participant in a Christian church for many years. I would LOVE to see any concrete evidence of these "terrorist ties." There is simply no evidence for any of the claims you have made. The video that you attached is an eleven second excerpt, taken entirely out of context, of a politician *misspeaking*. He was commending the McCain campaign on not propagating lies. As for Obama's father:
His father's beliefs are not automatically his, and being named after a Muslim does not effect one's own beliefs. (Read: Obama's name does NOT change his religion.) Also, a candidate's religious views should not enter into the equation, since there is a provision in the constitution guaranteeing that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..." This says that there will never be a requirement to follow any particular religion (or any religion at all) in order to take a government position.
I am a Caucasian, of Irish and German descent. I find it insulting, however, that you place importance on the color of my skin, going so far as to imply that were I an African American I would default to ignorance. Some of the most intelligent people in the world are of African descent, and are more than capable of making a decision based on Sen. Obama's policies and platforms rather than his physical appearance.From the emphasis you place on supposedly "Christian" values, I can only assume that you are a follower of that religion. I encourage you to read your bible, and focus on the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. He emphasizes acceptance and love, as well as pacifism (turn the other cheek) and your assertion that you would use "deadly force" doesn't follow in that tradition at all. Your un-Christian hate and vitriol sadden me, and I look forward to the day that you see reason.
This is probably a waste of time, but here is the list of your mistakes:
1. Your own information also comes from the media.
2. Obama is NOT a Muslim, he is an active Christian
3. He is also a patriot, as am I, and I resent your baseless accusation that he wishes to "destroy this country". He has done more for the United States than you have, or likely will in your lifetime.
4. While it is not clear who you desire to apply "deadly force" to, I suggest that you seek counseling to deal with your anger and hate.
5. Obama does not admit to being a Muslim, likely because he isn't one.
6. He attended a Muslim school, which is different from being a Muslim. He also attended a Catholic school.
7. His mother was an Atheist, his father was a Muslim. He obviously didn't accept either one of their worldviews.
8. He is in fact, a Christian, but this does not matter. He is still more qualified to the presidency than Bush was, or Sen. McCain is now.
9. I find it amusing that you call me ignorant, when you spout out the FOX news buzzwords of the last three months, and can't construct a complete sentence.
10. I am not black, but this should not matter either. Your prejudice saddens me.
P.S. In any response you give me, try not to capitalize every other word. It makes you sound like a scared 12 year old.
