I think you highlighted the problem, to paraphrase from south park, America is yet again stuck with a douche or a turd sandwich.

Obama is clearly the better candidate, but from the look of McCain's campaign/platform, that is saying very little, imho.

I still can't believe Kerry lost 04.

Damn those Reps are good.

really? Not like it is that impressive, but I called it from day 1. The republicans had the emotional rhetoric, which people believe more than factual rhetoric.

they are more organized by 10 times, well, maybe not anymore. At least their attack dogs still are

It was like:

George Bush has ****ed the economy and made America a joke to the world.

Jon Kerry looks French and hates our troops.

I'd rather Bush be president.

Yup, welcome to America.

I would hazard to guess that the average voter's thinking process does not delve into such well thought out and rock solid arguments.

Americans wanted Il Duche in 2004. It seemed really obvious... imho

I thought Kerry was the Douche, and Bush was the Turd.

That's the problem in every country, except China.

Il Duche was a name used by Benito Mussilinni to describe his "machismo".

It essentially is a italian term for the big, tough, ass kicking, super masculine, hairy chested leader man.

In 2004, America had been innindated by constant terrifying messages about sleeper cells, amber alerts and WMDs. They wanted that protector. Kerry lost because he didn't look as tough as Bush. Polls showed that everyone thought Kerry was brighter and more stately, but Bush was the guy who would kick them Haji's asses

Exactly how this election is going, except for the Democrats.

I'd be willing to wager it is the way at least 99% of human elections have ever gone...

So Mr. Obama is a domestic terrorist? Your own candidate seems to publically disagree with that notion, even if he embraces it privately.

At some point the media did take over the elections and whoever they wanted to win, pretty much did. Obama is the "cool, young, hip, GOOD ORATOR OMG" this year..so he takes it.

Thank you for personally disporving the idea of a one-sided, liberal media.

If the Democrats drop the ball again in this election I will probably find my way into some of Deano's threads and read them a little closer..cause something wouldn't be right.

Drop the ball? You aren't paying much attention to his threads, are you?

In Deano's threads:

I told you Obama/McCain/Hillary Clinton/Jeb Bush would win.

...I told you Ron Paul would lose.

He really does deserve to, though.

indeed, his campaign was run based on logical discourse, rather than moving rhetoric 😉

lol, ok so maybe I'm exaggerating a little
