I don't really know.

But I do like one of Obama's points, he said he would give tax breaks to companies that keep jobs in America, while taxing those that ship their workforce overseas.

Huh, Nader has the same idea.

Well, again, that's your view of things. And you're presupposed to believe those things because you swallow GOP talking points like a daily vitamin.

Wait, I thought that you were the "informed, reasonable" poster on politics?

You didn't really just stoop to name-calling and insults because I pointed out a valid flaw in Obama's tax plan...did you?

I'm not "presupposed" to believe anything.

I look at it and see (even as Robtard who won't vote for McCain does) that raising taxes on businesses will cause ANY industry of business (gas, groceries, goods) to raise prices. This will hurt middle-class Americans. So will the big businesses having to fire employees.

Also, small businesses will close due to larger taxes being taken from them. I know a man who's opened his own store for carpeting/tile/hardwood floors. He's had the job for 7 years. His accountant told him to close up shop if Obama wins. He won't be able to afford to stay in business.

Those aren't opinions or talking points...those are examples of what will happen under Obama.

My opinion, is that richer Americans who've earned their wealth shouldn't be forced to pay the welfare of those who don't want to work through higher taxes.

I'm genuinely surprised at you Strangelove.

Getting a bad feeling about November, are we? 😛

Slow your roll, son. I said it has some merit, not that the economy will collapse should Obama win and implement his policies.

I'm also not entirely against voting for McCain, I'm a midde-left, so I vote Left unless the Right candidate can dazzle the shits out of me. So far, John-boy hasn't.

Actually, I am pretty sure that even libertarians would concede that Obama will probably be less of a strain on the economy than McCain.

I certainly am informed and reasonable - but I'm also a true-blue Democrat.

A bad feeling? Are you kidding? I'm more convinced than ever that we're going to run away with it.

They thought Kennedy was going to be president in '68.

I think Bardock was most correct when he said that all classes should get a tax cut. It should be across the board.

You guys may be asking yourselves, "Where the hell is all that lost government money going to come from then?" The answer is simple, cut back government spending. DUH!

Do we REALLY need the DEA? Do we REALLY need to spend $60 billion on one tactical fighter jet project and $30 billion for a new military technology? Do we REALLY? Really really? Sooo much money is wasted on poorly mangaged projects and the execution of projects. Just having an experienced professional (PMP) project manager come through, I'm pretty sure that most projects' costs could be reduced by a quarter. Can you imagine cutting all military spending by a quarter?

I could imagine cutting military spending by 4 quarters, my good man.

Bill Hicks said we could spend all that money on defense and weapons, on feeding, clothing and education everyone on this planet.

That ideology only works if everyone agrees to do it and then agrees to strick to a fair system of exchange. Isn't going to happen.
