Don't discount the rhetoric that has been pushed on all of us up to this point. She's been such a miserable failure up until now that the public has lowered their standards to the point that they'll be swayed if she just doesn't **** up, profoundly. The expectations are so low, and the Republicans so willing to say and do anything that gives them a few points, that she could only slightly screw up and the majority of their supporteres will call it a victory. If she manages to keep the shit to shoe level her performace will be hailed as an overwhelming victory. If this woman were to actually put her pump-clad foot in her own mouth or play the flute, she'll be pronounced as the victor.

There is no need for a civilian defense force. What you might want his supporters to do is help you further the idea that a vote for Obama means a vote for some sort of Nazi police state, but that's not the case. You might think the whole country is sitting around with a closet full of guns waiting to take up arms against a government that has gotten too upity, but Obama's supporters aren't Bush's supporters...or Palin's for that matter.

We both agreed it isnt the military, you said it yourself a group of rag tag weekend warriors wont do anything..so what else can Obama be asking for with this?
