The Incredible Hulk Thread

I hate Pak. In the latest Hulk issue Skaar owned Juggernaut. It's the Juggernaut FFS, and Skaar tossed him into space. Was absolute bullshit nahuh

Anyone else disappointed by that?

I'm disappointed by the outcome of the fight, but I still feel we should give Pak some credit. His depiction of Banner is incredible. It's the Incredible Hulk allright, but the big green guy is the least interesting one.

That was actually one of the more logical ways to defeat Juggernaut.

Logic stops the Juggernaut, a great man found that out.

Additionally, Pak is one of the industry's best right now. He more or less turns any character he touches into something enjoyable.

War Machine was always second rate until Pak got hold of him. Magneto: Testament was amazing, as was Planet Hulk and I personally enjoyed W.W.H., too.

More of your Hulk hatred! ahuh

durhulk

It would be great for Incredible Hulk to become one of the strongest Marvel titles. Hulk, Thor and Cap.

Well he sucks forgetu

Skaar is a useless character.

Also it's stupid to have Daken fight Skaar instead of Logan in my opinion. They'll more than likely ignore his Muramasa Claws as well.

Well, at least Banner isn't useless **** anymore.

"Useless" is defined by writer more often than not. If someone puts Skaar in a great role, it'll work.

Totally unrelated, is that Thor in your sig?

I couldn't tell on account of the fact that he was having a fight.

Oh my bad. I don't think I've ever seen you make a joke before.

Lol.

I think Banner's recent cocky behaviour, along with his eyes being depicted as green (instead of brown) is down to the influence of his Hulk personalities.

They're really trying too hard to sell Banner's new attitude.

It falls flat.

I believe Banner's current personality isn't the classic Banner persona. His other personalities -which were able to manifest physically in the past because of the gamma radiation -are making up for their physical inability to "come out" by influencing his behaviour. When Banner met up with Reed, Cho and others' recently, and stole back WWH's sword he said "I just wanted MY stuff back"

Or that it's the real him now, he's not mister feel bad because I'm the hulk and all that. Since it was revealed that he always is in control of the hulk in some way, and has accepted it as part of who he really is.

They totally remembered the muramasa claws.

Apologize to Pak!

It is confusing what Marvel are doing regarding Bruces personalities. They established in the late 80'-early 90's that the abuse Bruce suffered as a child resulted in multiple personality disorder. The core human Banner personality has consistently been portrayed as good natured and well meaning. It was his good nature that led to him risking his life to save Rick Jones, then a stranger, during the original gamma bomb test-the event that turned Bruce into the Hulk. His comment in the Daken vs Skarr fight, about becoming the Hulk to "save the world from Banner" doesn't fit that consistent portrayal-unless it was a bluff to save Skarr from Daken.
Recently they've had Doc Samsom suggesting that Hulk may be the "true personality" with Banner as a facade. Which personality is Samson referring to, as in addition to the Banner persona there is also Grey Hulk, Savage Hulk and Merged/Proffesor Hulk -this being established by Marvel. Where does WWH fit in with the established Banner/Hulk personalities. Is WWH's persona a combination at least 2 of the other Hulk personalities of the evolution of 1.
