Apparently the make-up and voice for Kruger are not completely finished:
Millions have seen the new trailer for the remake either online or in front of ZOMBIELAND this weekend. Now producer Brad Fuller has answered some of the questions and complaints that have popped up online via the Platinum Dunes Blog. Most notably he says neither Freddy's look or voice is yet finalised. In terms of the visual, Fuller says "We are continuing to refine Freddy's look... Freddy's face is 98% practical make-up... we went hardcore on what a burn victim really looks like." Star Jackie Earle Haley spent a lot of time researching what people who've had their vocal cords burned sound like and "is still working on it and I suspect that we will be refining it, until the last moment". He also says that the new film will definitely be an R-rated movie.
I thought the trailer looked great. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the finished product. I thought that Kruegers face looked interesting. Granted, we didn't get to see more than a quick glance but i thought it was good. The voice, however, well that sounded a bit to natural. I will never be able to accept any voice for Freddy other than Englunds but the voice in the new trailer definitely sounded to average. Kruegers voice needs to be deep and unnatural.

The fact that he uses the glove like a phallic symbol, how he attacks nancy in the tub, the grunts he makes when he drags tina up the ceiling all imply he was a child molester but Wes wouldn't admit to it for risk of loosing the audience. He freely admits that it was his initial idea to make Freddy a child molestor now.
