I agree it does look good.

meh the trailer looks good but I don't know if I like the makeup from what it shows

The make up looks realistic compared to what it use to be, it looks more like how skin goes when severely burnt.

It does look rather good!! the make up on Kruger looks absolutely fantastic this time around.

just watched this on another site... this film has promise

Whilst the likes of A Nightmare On Elm Street (ANOES) and Friday The 13th weren’t in the same classic stratum of say Citizen Kane or The Godfather, they are (in my opinion) still endearing classics. These re-boots are even more soulless than the monsters they’re marketing. The likes of Robert Englund (Freddie Kruger) and Doug Bradley (Pinhead) – who incidentally is also inline for a re-hash, made the characters that turned these films into classics so anyone putting on the gloves (or in Freddie’s case glove) is going to have their work cut out (no pun intended).

I don't think we have a problem with the actor who has taken the Freddy Kruger role.

i don't, in fact he ma be better, but i will pass judgment after i see this

just saw the trailer

love the beginning where he's running away from the vigilante parents. it's just like the way that chicks mother described it in pt1 back in the 80's..

but i dunno about the look though. yea it's supose to have the real burn victim look but it doesn't look fearsome. it almost looked, cartoonish.

And his voice, i dunno. sounds like a tired 90 year old man with no teeth.

we'll see. i gotta see and read more on it cause i love a AoEs. Especially pt. 1.

yeah the first 40 seconds were awesome, but then it sorta went downhill with all the mediocre acting and copied scenes from the original. Tina's death from part 1 was already recreated in New Nightmare... but no lets do it AGAIN

and freddy looks like the ****ing scarecrow from the wizard of oz

Well it is a remake 🙄

same sort of thing happen with King Kong (1933) to King Kong (2003)

yeah except kong needed a special effects update

oh and there was a 70 year gap inbetween those movies

Thats not the point

he was talking about copying scenes rather then make up brand new ones.

Well we really didn't see Krueger up really close for long so haven't really had enough viewing to see if the make up is really good or not, so let's wait to see more.

It was a bit dodgy, but I suppose after being burnt in such an extreme way, it might play havok on your throat and mouth.

I do agree with Spartan on the dodgy acting from the younger cast, some of the delivery of the lines in the trailer were a bit off, but hey, it's a slasher film produced by Michael Bay, not exactly expecting Oscar winning acting. The acting wasn't that great in the original either.

At least from the trailer, it's not horrendous acting.

lol, wow.

he does look almost exactly like him. Or like that main character outta "little big planet". the brown kid with the zipper.

I did loved the super sparks that went off as freddy razor nailes were screeching that pipe, in signature style.

w/e, it's still way to early to decide if the movie'll be worthy or not. I'll most likely still watch it regadless but i guess the difference'll be in whether i watch it just once or many times as i've done with pt.1.

Although he seems too short (in stature), i still think it a good choice casting Jackie Earle Haley for the role of Freddy. I couldn't think of anyone else besides Robert Englund that would do the role justice.

i loved him in "watchmen".

What I didn't like was in the shadows his head looked kinda big. Like you could tell hes wearing a mask

I wonder if the dream concept'll still be apart of the movie or will they make Freddy a real person just disfigured cause so far i haven't reallt heard anything on him hauting his victims dreams.

You know come to think of it it will indeed to probably include the dream concept since it is a remake of the original and the part with the razor hands coming outta the bath tub make it obvious. And how someone in the trailer metioned something about whatever you do don't fall asleep.

duh

You can see clearly in the trailer that they are in dreams, example is one in a normal house, one girl is walking around a room while it's snowing/or extreme amounts of cushion feathers falling all around to look like snow.

she could've entered a roofless house in the middle of a mild blizzard. That or some hot chicks were in there pillow fighting battling it out in bed over me prior to.

but nah, yea, dreams are definetely apart of the movie.

But i could imagine or see an entire NOES movie with a real life human freddy (burnt edition) working out and being dreamless, as well.

I couldn't, it's all about the dreams for these films, that's what makes Nightmare on Elm Street/Freddy Kruger.

You couldn't..

There've been a couple, a few of noes films where freddy has been in the real world and it worked well.

i could see it. He'd be a horribly disfigureed real world serial killer on a revenge rampage in and around elm st. Claws and all.

i'd be called just "Elm Street".

lol it'd probably go directly to fearnet but so what..
