Actually, Odin proved his point about scientifically acquired might not being able to stand... he put Thanos on his knees. After that, they got him to finally stay his hand. This is not even close to a stalemate.
He already intended to kill Thanos and was shocked he was still alive. Read the scan next time.

And this somehow equates to Thanos stalemating Odin how? Learn how context works. 🙂

Originally posted by The Great GalenProof he was out to kill Thanos. This isnt difficult to follow along with.
I wouldnt call it a stalemate, more liek Odin just got bored and Thanos learned his lesson. Odin isnt the kind of guy to kill for no reason so there was nothing to suggest he was out for the kill,,,Thanos survied Odin not stalemated him.
Thanos did stalemate Odin. He was losing, but the fight had not been finished,so its a stalemate. 🙂

What happens when two boxers fight, they run out of time, and neither one is knocked out?
Do they just go "Eh, **** it. Stalemate, let's go grab a beer."?
Hell no. Whichever fighter was losing, loses.
To stalemate someone, you need to clearly NOT have the edge over your opponent. It needs to be dead equal.
The Odin/Thanos fight, while it was a great showing for Thanos' durability, was decidedly NOT a stalemate. Odin had a clear and egregious edge over Thanos.
Originally posted by SoljerThats why I stated that Thanos was losing. This isnt boxing. There are no judges. Everything I stated was dead on accurate.

*** Imo, Thanos did stalemate Odin. ***
Thanos vs Odin ... (Surfer attacked Odin twice, and then was KO'd)
... from beginning, to end: (panel by panel)
.......................................................................
Odin blasts Thanos, Thanos isn't fazed:
.......................................................................
Thanos & Surfer blast Odin, Odin isn't fazed:
.......................................................................
Odin blasts Thanos again, Thanos is fazed, but hardly:
.......................................................................
Surfer attacks Odin a second time, Odin KOs Surfer:
.......................................................................
Thanos strikes Odin, Odin strikes Thanos back: (Thanos seems more affected)
.......................................................................
Thanos still stands ready, and blasts Odin, Odin is fazed but hardly:
.......................................................................
Odin throws a bunch of boulders at Thanos, Thanos easily punches them away:
continues in the next post ...
Thanos seals Odin in a block of force, Odin breaks out easily and summons his Trident:
.......................................................................
Odin (using his Trident now) blasts Thanos back:
.......................................................................
Thanos crashes a distance away:
.......................................................................
Thanos still stands, looking fresh I might add:
.......................................................................
Odin blasts Thanos again, this time though,
Thanos walks right through Odin's Trident blast,
and even grabs Odin's Trident:
.......................................................................
Odin and Thanos, both struggle with the Trident in hand,
they missle out together, and crash land in the distance,
Odin stands, and thinks he's won:
But ... guess again!
continues in the next post ...
Thanos gets back up, and does not yield:
.......................................................................
Thanos hands pulse with energy, he's clearly ready to continue this battle:
The battle is interrupted, so it finishes.
.......................................................................
Imo,
only one moment in this fight where Odin seems at an advantage,
with Trident in hand let's not forget,
that's when they landed after struggling with the Trident,
otherwise, no one can tell me this wasn't a stalemate, (imo)
meh, even after that climax, Thanos still got up,
and was clearly ready to continue with no indication of stopping.
