Sarah Palin??

I'm starting to be more convince that Palin was a good call for Mc Cain. Not just of the speech but also because of her "soccer mom" slogan. Maybe this won't be much as a Circus as I thought it would be. I'm growing interested (for those of you who just tune in...WD interest is a good sign)

I was watching the Convention and both Palin and Romney were mocking Obama for supporting rights for Guantanamo Bay prisoners...oh...my...god...

Oh dear.

I think she was a good choice.

Oh dear.

I wonder how many people see the parallels between 9/11 and the Reichstag Fire, or the Burning of Rome etc.

I heard part of her speech today, and she has got one of the most annoying voices Ive ever heard, somehow squeaky at times and the dialect make my cringe.

Apart from that a confident impressive speech for a woman.

I couldn´t help notice she´s got a square head like Mcain, how odd.

I think she ramped up the Alaska twang for tonight...

I'm actually interested in how the VP debate plays out now thought since she seems to be saying "Oh it's already been brought it."

When is that set to take place?

I registered it in my log.

I'm certain David Icke and his minions do.

Streches at the Republican Convention

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her Republican supporters held back little Wednesday as they issued dismissive attacks on Barack Obama and flattering praise on her credentials to be vice president. In some cases, the reproach and the praise stretched the truth.

Some examples: PALIN: "I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending ... and championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. I told the Congress 'thanks but no thanks' for that Bridge to Nowhere."

THE FACTS: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a "bridge to nowhere."

PALIN: "There is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform — not even in the state senate."

THE FACTS: Compared to McCain and his two decades in the Senate, Obama does have a more meager record. But he has worked with Republicans to pass legislation that expanded efforts to intercept illegal shipments of weapons of mass destruction and to help destroy conventional weapons stockpiles. The legislation became law last year. To demean that accomplishment would be to also demean the work of Republican Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana, a respected foreign policy voice in the Senate. In Illinois, he was the leader on two big, contentious measures in Illinois: studying racial profiling by police and requiring recordings of interrogations in potential death penalty cases. He also successfully co-sponsored major ethics reform legislation.

Someone could probably do this about the DNC but I do find this particularly funny after all the stuff Palin mentioned about Obama.

Yeah, lets see if the negro can step up, we both know women and negroes are the most eloquently challenged groups after all.

I wasn´t actually trying to imply that to be honest 😱
A slip of the tongue one might say😈

What i find amazing, is that the USA must be the only country where the people at political conventions act like they are at a concert or something, cheering, whistling, chanting slogans in a brain washed kind of way, waving banners and generally behaving in a "im on speed" type of way.

Are these people for real or is it all set up to give a positive impression?

Unfortunately, they are real. Have you ever been to OK? What about Alabama?

Palin is now polling as more popular than Obama or McCain!

It's a boost that all newcomers get.

I'm betting that when Obama or McCain first entered, they got a high boost.

Because she's the shiny new object, her luster will fade with time.

Overall though: "Obama now attracts 46% of the vote while McCain earns 45%. When "leaners" are included, it’s Obama 48%, McCain 46%"

The article says that roughly 2/3 of the interviews were conducted before Palin's speech on Wed. and McCain's last night.

I smell an upset coming this Nov.

Fair enough, we'll have to wait then until Rasmussen catches up.

The smell's your upper lip.

You really think Obama has it in the bag, don't you?

I'm a Democrat and I think Obama and Biden is favored to win. However I'm also a person who has her degree in political science and if I learned anything is you don't count John McCain out. He has a weird way of coming back on you when you least expect it

Someone did do a fact check and Obama lied about his share of stuff too. They both do it
