She was new as mayor and was asking what policies were. Does that sound logical to you?

Yeah, to see if she could legally ban books she deemed wrong. Remember, "intention" is the issue here.

It's also another spin it seems. First it was just a "what if", then it was "testing the employees" and now it's "she was checking in on policies and procedures." Odd.

She was checkin the policies and procedures by asking employees "what if?" hypothetical questions.

See how logical that sounds when it's not a strawman?

ok, but if she was checking the policy about banning the bible?

there would be no difference in this situation to you?

She was being hyperthetical? Even if she was, that's still pretty bad. Would Clinton or Kerry have gotten away with shit like that? NO!

Just like McCain is allowed to say Gook.

Palin’s First Statewide Campaign Was Fueled By Veco. “While mayor of Wasilla, Palin ran for lieutenant governor in 2002. She gathered $5,000 — or about 10 percent of her campaign fund — from Veco officials or their wives along the way.” [Anchorage Daily News, 9/6/06]

Palin’s Inauguration Was Sponsored By BP. Beyond Petroleum Exploration Inc. is listed by the Alaska Inaugural Committee as a sponsor of Palin’s 2007 Governor’s Balls. [Alaska Inaugural Committee]

(If true) Yep, nothing more than a sexy diet-version of Cheney.

she gave a speech to her church where she asked people to pray for oil pipelines 🙂

Because that's the best way to check up on policies, "what if I wanted to ban *book*, would that be legal?" Compared to just asking what the policy on banning books is.

When did I make a strawman? I'll been responding to each of your ever changing versions as you post them.

Obama's pastor gave a speech to his church where he asked God to damn America, said we deserved 9/11, and that the govt. gave black people AIDS.

What's your point?

She asked people to pray that it was God's will, meaning that IF He wanted it to happen that it would go through, and that IF she was doing the right thing, it'd be blessed.

That's a normal prayer for a Christian, that they are doing God's will and have his blessing.

Key word's "Obama's pastor", not Obama.

Why would God want a pipeline? Seems like an incredibly odd thing to ask God.

While I think it's pretty loopy to pray for oil pipelines, attacking churches is likely not a fruitful strategy.

I'm way more in line with the opinions of Reverand Write than I am with Obama, so, thats hardly an effective retort

interesting that you still refuse to answer how you would feel about a politician asking if it would be ok to ban the bible, should I assume this is because you think it would be inappropriate?

Inimilist wasn' attacking her church, just commenting of her "loopiness".

Noted. But I wouldn't advise the Obama campaign to highlight her weird church; as it may provoke the McCain campaign re-highlighting of his weird church.

She'll be great at starting wars, I'm sure she'll have no problem in the shooting people in the face department, but I do think she might need to work on her golf skills.

ouch, actually trying to show the terrifying connection between big business, the political establishment, and fundamentalist religion. Or rather, how they are quickly becoming the same thing.

I'd agree. Though, I'm not a member of the Obama campaign. Frankly, I'm fairly pessemistic about this election. Though, I guess I'm less partial to the "start war in Iran" memes.

It's the affirmative action election.

(That comment will likely come back to bite me.)

I couldn't agree with you more

like seriously, they ran a black man against a woman? And this isn't a joke?

actually, me and one of my conspiracy nut friends had a good laugh about this. Its one of the first times he said "It's so obvious, they are just laughing at us" and I couldn't agree more (though likely we would disagree about the "they"😉
