Just because someone has a belief does not mean that their family will follow it. Also, just because someones child does not follow their parents belief does not mean their parents are hypocritical.

In Palin's defense, I'm not aware of her trying to enforce abstinence on others, besides her own family, which was an obvious failure.

There was a story I read, in which she (supposedly) was cited in supporting sex-ed being taught along side abstinence.

I'm certain if she indeed was/is an "abstinence only" supporter for the U.S. school system, it will come out and she'll be the hypocrite.
