USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

No, the skimmers have fixed forward guns and cannot realistically fire at the Vultures.

Bunching is more a bad idea for soft targets than hard, so skimmers are less affected. Artillery strikes may be more of a problem.

That limits my options, don't the selenians have any proper war vehicles?

They have never had use for more than light ones.

They may change their minds about that in the future...

Perhaps the skimmers can concentrate on clearing out some of the tanks before the Jedi abandon them and get into the thick of battle.

What does the battle situation look like in the air, Ush?

Those speeders can destroy the AATs and are more manoeuvrable. The problem is that that manoeuvrability edge is lost inside the valley. But in general, the Selenian army is a fast striking force, not a heavy bruiser.

You can see the droid waves getting further and further through, Xeth- about halfway right now.

Oh... ok. Maybe Zeth can do spotting for the Selenian artillary guns. Help increase the accuracy.

I'll support the selenians with the Skimmer for now. Or is the Skimmer best left to the Selenians. If that is the case I'll head straight to the front lines and support the troops on foot.

Frankly I don't care how I goes in, everything I have done so far has been a disaster. Uhm advice would be great?

What plan do the selenians have?

The droids need to be stalled, if not stopped, in their advance. Could the Selenian skimmer perhaps make sweeping attacks, coming in from the edges of the valley?

And how about the air situation, Ush? How many Vultures will Xeth have to help the Selenians deal with before he can have a go at the ground forces?

That is a fight being measured in dozens. Meanwhile, it is the accompanying tanks that stop the Speeders mowing down the droids.

I should have known. I am guessing it will not be possible for Xeth to clear through it and have a go at the Federation's tanks for some time, to help out the skimmers?

Tricky task, for sure.

Since Vlad hasn't been heard from, Vera-Kin will go to the battle this turn instead of staying to patch him up.

The Jedi not using skimmers should take the pressure off of the Selenian soldiers at the frontlines of the valley fight. Are the enemy tanks fairly close to the battle line? And will those using skimmers experience penalties because of their reduced maneuverability?

Yes, the tanks have to go up front to confront the skimmers.

And no, not direct penalties in that sense. The penalty is the 'cannot get to the sides of the tanks so they can fire and blow us up' kind of penalty. They are not built to take tanks on head-in.

I'm sure that a Jedi could dismantle a tank without being in a skimmer...

Literally yes, but not easy, especially with an army around.

Can we lead groups of Selenian troops?

How about I run away and be a coward? ha! If the Skimmer isn't much help I'll go on foot.

I was going to allow the first but this game will take forever if I stick to the original plan so I'll save all that for the final fight. So right now consider yourself in support to them.

Sure! Thats cool. Denz 'll go in on foot, I think Denz's not skilled suitably for Vehical combat. Though a Jedi TX-01 tank wouldn't hurt (Imperial Designation, Jedi Designation differs somewhat as far as I know)

Ah well... I'll cleave 'em up for now!

Sorry about the delay!
How healthy is Vlad as of now?

You're at 22 damage out of a possible 60. Feel like you could make it to the battle okay? Or do you want Vera-Kin to patch you up? We really do need to get into the thick of things...

sorry for being out so much... are we battling already? I'm supposed to go with the first wave of jedi if memory serves
