Tap Eye of the Storm and Carnival of Carnage at same time would stop me from getting killed, but I don't know how smart it is to tap Eye of the Storm so early in the fight. I could still use 'Ward' to survive through the fight, I guess...

There is a tactic some people have tried of starting with Guns, tapping like mad to get a strong start, then dumping Guns and switching to sabre with fresh Schticks. Might work!

Eye of the Storm only defends against one attack when tapped, right?

And if we can Jump in and ambush the droids, Vlad wouldn't have to worry about being shot at right away. Nor would any of the Jedi. Can that be done, Ush?

Would the Co-ordination skill 'Ward' and tapping of Carnival of Carnage conflict?

I would say save your Force points, Vlad. You don't have many left, I don't think.

EOTS is a one-shot miss, yes. You can declare to use it against the first tank shot that comes your way as an example, though.

True! In that case, Vlad should go in pistol first and then switch to his lightsaber. Sound good, Vlad?

Alright then, I'll go in with Balanced Guard, Eye of The Storm, and Carnival of Carnage.

Remmebr, even if you are not in the scene there is much to be learned by observing the rules and the way battles work.

Hmm watching, I am. This should be interesting, but yet somehow I have a bad feeling about this.

Sean hasn't posted yet, but I think he should have Orthodox Guard, Reflection, and Gunslinger in, so that he can tap Gunslinger against a STAP and swap it out for Charge.

The battle begins!

The Selenians have improvised defences with light digging in and some sci-fi equivalent of sandbags to provide their lines with one point of cover fron frontal atttack. All Jedi can start in those trenches. The flip side of this is that you are not on the attack and Federation artillery is now blasting anything that moves on the valley sides, which makes starting in a flanking position impractical.

(A reminder that no matter what seems logical, you may never attack multiple targets in an attack unless you are using a power that specifically says so or you have been given a special move due to careful planning etc. Game baalnce trumps what you might think a Jedi can do with Force powers.)

Vulture droid losses from the last scenario means they have pulled back for now as they fix damaged ones; there will be no enemy air power for this scenario.

Five squads of battle droids are makig the first move forwards in the ground, as a bunch of STAPs swarm in from above (more droids got blasted down just before we start the action here). The other droids are covering the tanks, who are standing off providing fire support. As is their tactical point, the STAPs are fast enough to move to any part of the battlefield they wish in a turn.

Now, by default I assume you are statying in the trenches, but fi you want to start in a different position let me know.

Meanwhile, at the Command Centre, the Marshall will make the same comment to you, Xeth, about the apparently conservative deploym ent of the Federation. He says that these merchants and scientists, whose entire idea of strategy comes from computer programmes and simulations, have no feel for the flow of a battle- and as he says, no guts at all.

"They keep so many forces back as they like to erect wall afetr wall around their precious selves," he says. "They put so much shielding on their vessels that thery can barely move through hyperspace and call them impervious, and still they hold their swarm back in case of attack. I think Naboo unnerved them, despite the design differences you tell me they have made."

Whats the rules on taking down the STAP's since their 'in air' Can a Jedi still take them out with a saber or it takes some sort of special dice rolls?

Would it also be possible for some of us to ambush the droids from the side or make some kind of surprise attack?

I am supposing that attacking a STAP in the air involves making an agility roll for Jumping up at them. Or just shooting the droids off of the things, of course.

We should start in the trenches for protection purposes, since Vlad and Sean are going to start off gunning. You should tap out your Gun schticks at the STAPs.

Ush, can Vera-Kin use Saber Throw with Cleave to attack two STAPs in a turn, using her masterful control of the Force to guide her lightsaber through both targets?

STAPs don't fly that high but they are difficult to sabre, yes; it comes in as effective Parry unless you are in a position to ignore it or using a power combo that makes it irrelevant.

Very much not, Vera- that is specifically the purpose of Advanced Sabre Throw.

Oh! I see that now. Oops. But the STAPs are still treated as mooks and we get our bonus dice from our lightsabers, correct?

Vlad looks over Vera and Sean after he spots the incoming droids. "May the force be with you, lets hope this goes better then how it did at the guns"

Vlad will get behind the cover draw his heavy pistol and tap carnival of carnage to attack two STAP's, two attacks per each.

Hopefully the Eye of the Storm Parry and the cover parry will keep me safe.

For sure!

Remember no schticks working means your Defence drops to.

Xeth will also see if he can procure a cane to walk with, to ease up on his useless leg.
