USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Started by Ushgarak224 pages

Well to be fair your ship had the agility of the average star mammoth at the time.

Pulling out makes this a loss, of course.

But a partial win if we take out the Hailfires?

If you do, then yes.

Hmm. Well, since you reminded me that Xeth isn't bogged down with dozens of refugees and the airspeeders have the advantage of being specifically atmospheric vehicles... we will make that attack run. Final call on that.

And what will you do the turn after?

Flee from the vulture droids, so that they do not shoot us down.

They'll be in strike range that turn, and are faster.

It is something we will have to risk. We need a partial victory from this, or the Hailfire droids will be continuing to pound the Selenian forces.

just posting that my exams start in literally a few hours ... I'll try to be online tonight.
I can see me getting online (perhaps) tomorrow, but sunday is a big no-no. The rest of the WEEK will depend on how my progress goes.

Is it worth it to lose your ship and all the Airspeeders? In that you have just considered ordering others to certain death does not sit well with the tune of the game...

Meanwhile, I don't have a complete set of orders yet.

No, that is not worth it at all. Not only would it reflect badly on Xeth that he ordered the airspeeder pilots to their deaths, but we will most certainly need the Nexu later. With roughly five vultures per person in the air, Xeth would not walk away from this.

Xeth will tell the airspeeders to make a break for it before the vultures arrive, following at their heals in his larger starship.

Kiu, Jovan, Denzral, only one of you needs to call the retreat.

Vera-Kin has already done so.

Of course, that is a loss...

There will be more important fights, I think. Getting everyone killed is not quite worth it. Besides, the Selenian guns will be arriving soon. The Federation can't advance far enough to declare victory in the Mopet Valley.

Those guns are uselsss with no shield.

Because the orbital bombardment can obliterate them.

Can Xeth get on the line with Command as he flees the Valley?

Channels are far too busy. In game terms, you need someone at Command to do strategic planning.

Why cant the Selenians hit the orbiting ships with their Anti-Orbital cannons?

They are out of range, in high orbit. The cannon system was designed to hit ships trying to descend below the shield.

Then how did the landers get through that being the case?

I'll tap everything left attack anything and get out of there. I'm bugging out this turn, but with a Tapped bang, It is really too dangerous to stay in the fight. Unless we HAVE to punch through to Vera, then I'll not tap anything.

Is there any way for us to lure the Federation Fleet into range of the orbital defense guns? Maybe presenting them with a target that will make then want to chae and risk all to get after.

Think Admiral Trigt, and taget Folor 3, the fake Milennium Falcon signal. (Wraith Squadron)

Maybe we can somehow capture and get our Astromechs to reprogramme the Federation Drouids or even better locate to highly dangerous Bv-6 or what ever its called.

You told me not to forget this idea, as it will be handy for later Ush, so any thing now?
