Looks like Kiu and Vlad may not be getting rest just yet, then.

I'll want to heal up as much as possible.

health-role please!

We have two hours before the battle starts, so two rolls' worth. Let me know who is working on whom. Resting heals 5 damage automatically. Vera, you have to rest just to get back on your feet, at 40 damage.

I'll rest for one turn and perform a med roll on.... who? Any ideas?

Well, here's the damage again-

Vlad: 24 damage, limit is 60
Kiu: 22 damage, limit is 60
Wentar: 44 damage, limit 60
Denzral: 46 damage, limit is 60
Jovan: 46 damage, limit is 60
Vera-Kin: went down on 45 damage, limit is 40

And here's everyone's Medicine pools.

Vlad: 4 (no Medicine skill)
Kiu: 5
Wentar: 5
Denzral: 6
Jovan: 6
Vera-Kin: 6
Xeth: 4 (no Medicine skill)

If simple rest will bring down 10 damage for everyone, I think everyone should just roll on themselves to patch up- those with the highest damage have the highest Medicine pools. And then we'll see who is resting and who is fighting when it comes time for the battle.

Can Vera-Kin do a roll on herself during the first period of resting or is she unable to contribute to the rolling? Can a roll be done on her to help things along?

First period I'm going to do a med roll on myself. Perhaps after that it might be interesting to patch up Vlad & Kiu so that they can fight at near-perfect health?

Vers sadly cannot make a Medicine contribution o the first hour.

I'll go with Bespin Barts plan

Thus I follow BB's plan too.

Ok, time to get deployment sorted. The army coming at you is a combined Droid/Cultist army with considerable armour and air support.

After two hours your damage levels are:

Vlad: 14
Kiu: 0
Wentar: 19
Denzral: 11
Jovan: 16
Vera-Kin: 20

You stand arond the command table, with the leaders of each nation and Colonel Minas. The simple white sectors of the command table are replaced by green and red tiles, indicating areas of friendly forces and places under strategic threat.

Enemy fleet now in station above battle area in high orbit comes the strategic report.

"We cannot thank you enough for what you have done already," says Minas. "We cannot ask you to do more. But this battle is the crucial one. If we fail, the army will advance to the shield generator and our position will become hopeless. If we succeed, we will draw their control ship into our field of fire. They think that ship is invulnerable. If we can prove them wrong, we will win this war in one stroke.

"The final air transport is leaving for the battlefield now. Those of you who want to fight should get on it. It might not be so easy to get there once the fight starts and enemy Vultures are around.

"The Interceptor squadrons are prepping at the starport here. They can launch to cover the battlefield if requested, but we must not waste their numbers. We'll need all our strength for our attack on the Federation fleet."

Xeth looks across the command table, observing the approaching enemy units and wishing that he could be out on the frontlines, but knowing that his place is at the command center until it comes time to hop in the Nexu's Grin.

"There is a lot at stake in this battle," Xeth says, "but we have already come so far, I assure you that we will assist in stalling the Federation forces and their Cultist allies. Your thanks is unnecessary; this is the culmination of years of my work, and we are selfless in defending your world.

"Is there anything that we need to discuss regarding the strategy that I helped with before we send my team off to the fight?"

"Then we should all go at once while an opportunity is present." Denzral states.

"And those of us that need more rest can stay behind our lines," Vera-Kin says, "until we are able to participate in the fighting. Can I get your analysis of the troop arrangements, Colonel Minas?"

I think maybe Wentar, Jovan, and myself should wait behind for the first hour of battle, while Vlad, Kiu, and Denzral are spaced out for the fighting.

As noted, if you stay behind now, getting there could be extremely difficult.

If Denzral wants to get his starfighter out there in case they need air support, he should take it with him. Xeth won't be heading out until the starfighters launch their strike on the Control Ship.

Are people who go to the battle able to stay out of the fighting for certain turns?

A starfighter alone would be suicide.

And yes; nothing forces you to walk out to the front.

I'll stick with the ground, it is what Denzral does best. I just ish I could get a Force point or two... lol

I am guessing that we just need to confirm who is going and who isn't before we ship out. Vera-Kin is going, but she will need more rest.
