USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Yep, that's what I was thinking when I asked that question.

Then that's our problem and the Federation's way of invading...

Sounds possible! The clue I was going to give you was to consider why Cirus Cannes was leading the fleet; now you may have an answer.

Denzral let the Renegades talk, not wishing to interfere but tried to get a good look at the sensor grid readings. Perhaps there is a way they can track the mini-drone fighter.

To run shields at a constant level and have weapons, engines, and sensor data, it would have to have a fair power source. It could also be possible to try and jam the signals from the fleet somehow (something which Thrawn did most exceptionally), and that would send it immobile or erratic?

It's not a fighter, it's a droid. It is also independent.

Guh... we have no real proof of the BV-50's existence either. Saying 'The Union has a super combat droid that's smaller then a person and could decimate combat squads with ease' is less believable then 'The Union come to invade.'

Yeah, a pain, isn't it?

Big time... Maybe bringing up the fact that the fleet is lead up by the head of experimental technologies (I know I got that title wrong but I can't remember Cannes full title other then the experimental part) will be a more convincing argument. Like the fact he'll probably have one of a kind tech that even Alura would over look...

Well, it has now been confirmed as a Trade Federation fleet, moving into plantary orbit...

At this point they start to track the orbital movement of the Fed ships. They have, for this purpose, a waist high table with a mostly white top, upon which the ship movements are tracked using colourful (and clear) green and red lines and areas.

"Colonel, you need to put the defenses at the generators on full alert now," Wentar urges, believing Cannes will send the BV-50 to strike the generators. "The Union wouldn't be here without a trick up their sleeve and as the largest technology distributor in the Republic I'm certain they have one. What's going to stop them from sending a droid past your sensors to strike the generators?"

"Everyone is on alert, don't worry," he says. "And what is one droid going to do?"

"More then you might think. Droids may not be creative, but pack enough weapons onto one and it will make a mess, which is the case here. The Union know their droids, Colonel, and as you said they're scientists. What's stopping them from sending in a droid designed to slip past the defenses and take out the generator?"

The droid took out four Jedi - It won't have trouble taking down a battalion of soldiers defending any of the generators. Perhaps we have to somehow split up, putting a pair of us at every generator?

I doubt there's enough time. We'd have to convince them to let us near the generators first, then there's getting there.

Took out four Jedi in an ideal situation ambush.

Not that you are not right, of course, but sooner or later you are going to want to take this thing out so I don't want you thinking it is unbeatable.

We don't really have any other means of finding it if it comes through the shield thought.

It will get past the scanners, and we won't know exactly which generator it will go for.

The Colonel said the system was set up so that one generator could go and the shield would still hold, a little weaker, but still active. I'd say, if one generator goes, we rush to the next one closest to it.

How is the droid itself supposed to know where the generators are located at? It will probably scout for the next generator, so we won't be sure what generator it will find next.

I don't like that we will have to wait to hear from it to know where it is...

The images on the table shift as the Federation fleet moves into orbit. Someone is reporting that all attempts at communication with it have failed.

"Our shoield status is confirmed," says the Marshall. "Nothing will get through. If any landing craft attempt to breach the shield, blow them ut of the sky."

"Marshall, they have a weapon that can get through your shield!" Xeth says. "It is a tiny droid, you won't pick it up on your sensors. It won't be threatened by your defense grid because they won't find it, it's too small, smaller than a man. But it is loaded with an arsenal that can wipe out entire ship crews and could probably take down a shield generator. I've seen the former happen!"
