"Colonel, get these interlopers out of here," says the Marshall. "They are not security cleared, after all."

Xeth will not argue with the Marshall. He will not believe us, not until it is too late.

"Go ahead, Colonel," Xeth says, agravated. "But could you arrange us some transport and keep us informed if one of the shield generators comes under attack?"

Note to everyone-

When fighting this droid, get close. It's the only way to damage it. Lasers do not harm it.

Really. There is always a weakness.

we have to convince the colonel, he's at least doubting things...

An outline of the BV-50...

It is designed to fight and kill Jedi Knights. It has already done so. Some of its information to fighting was gathered off of Xeth, actually! And then it cut off his leg.

It has an energy shield, like the destroyer droids of the Trade Federation. It reflects laser fire from standard firearms. Heavy weapons may breach the shield, lightsabers do.

It is loaded with weapons. Multiple mini-gun blasters so that it can target multiple foes, a cutting laser that is just plain lethal, and a disruption field that burns you when you get close.

And it can fly out of reach of lightsabers.

But Denzral is right, it is not invincible. Just incredibly hardy and well-equipped...

Aye, that seemed like a nasty fight when I read The Hunters Hunted. This time there wont be a blizzard and there are more of us. Course I foresee an inevitable space fight against the droid control ship, or that might be wishful thinking. 😛

how does that disruption field work exactly? There is no chance of doing a lego-star wars move like jumping on top of it and stabbing it down?

The field is '720' is it where.

Note, btw, that sabres do not penetrate the field per se, but you can just stab through it. This is not convenient and gives the BV a very high close combat defence score.

You guys are in an adjoining corridor.

"Look, what IS this droid thing you are talking about?" asks the Colonel.

"An experimental droid..."

"That could mean a new mining robot."

"It is no mining droid. The BV-50 is specially made for covert operations. It has the battle capabilities of a full squad of troops. It is not something to be taken lightly".

"It has also been developed to take on Jedi Knights, like ourselves," Xeth says. "As you can see, my leg isn't functioning correctly as I have already tried confronting the damn thing..."

Is there going to be a penalty on Xeth's fighting capability, as far as the hobbling leg goes?

Yes, you have -4 to all action pools and to your Agility score. You are close to useless in a fight.

"It's still only one droid," he says, "no matter what individual foe it has been targetted at."

Oh bugger... what if Xeth stands perfectly still and shoots at things from a distance? Sounds like Xeth will be keeping himself out of the action, though...

"One droid that is very capable of wiping out armies," Xeth says. "It's an abomination."

You can shoot straight if happy to stand on one leg when doing it (so in fact, no you cannot).

Basically, indeed no, you're no good to anyone in a fight.

Xeth will be assuming the position of coordinating his comrades! From a safe location where nothing is shooting at him, to be sure.

"Believe him Colonel. The BV-50 managed to wipe out star ship defense crews, the Jedi Knights will back me up there. It may be made to target Jedi, but that wont stop if from causing a lot of damage to anything else... The Union are quite skilled when it comes to droids."

"It has a force shield that will block most of any laser firepower your army will aim at it with it's blasters. It took out a whole cruiser with a Jedi Knight aboard it. It's not just any droid, Colonel, and isn't to be taken lightly"

"Hmmm," says the Colonel, considering what you say.
