USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Started by Ushgarak224 pages

Well, I'll update the forest fight...

Kiu taps Forward Guard, which for this turn gives him a pool of 21- not to mention the four extra dice he gets against the droidekas, as they count as Mooks for those purposes.

So, this time Kiu is inflicting damage insted of counting successes. His sabre will inflict 5 damage, plus one for every success he rolls (so long as he rolls any successes at all!). And remember, due to the shiled, the first three successes he rolls are taken away.

He rolls 14 successes in all, reduced to three... well, that is still 16 damage in one hit!

Unfortunately, you didn't specify to attack the same one, and that being the case I always assume you target different ones. Denz makes a standard attack on his one, and he's still rolling 13 dice. Good going- 7 successes rolled, reduced to 4, which is still 9 damage.

Bad guys fire! The Super droid completely misses Kiu- whose luck has been in on those rolls- but the droideka is less forgiving, inflicting 8 damage.

Oh! And the SBD misses Denz as well! The droideka only just hits him, for five damage... and Denz gets a Riposte attack, at +5 dice as he tapped it. 7 successes again, for another 9 damage.

Always concentrate fire to eliminate dangerous opponents if you can...

Xeth is touching down now, it's decision time from Jovan- getting the droid or not? You'd need dozens of bikes (per run), so that's not happening I am afraid.

Denzral, you can decide to either try finishing off that Droideka or you can cut down the super battle droid. Switching to your pistol might not really help all that much.

get the droid and off to fix the public transport...
Though perhaps it's best to disable it again after we finished the evac so we won't play into the cards of the invaders...

BB CAN fly without the R3-unit right? Otherwise it's useless.

Yes, he only needs it for hyperspace and fixing stuff etc.

Indeed. Xeth keeps R3-U9 around because he does not trust anyone to repair his ship or his weapons, not after many of his fellow investigators died in 'freak accidents.' Sabotage, all of it. Like I said, it's the only droid Xeth trusts.

So go for it. He should be able to get things up and running for the evacuees.

Not much I can do this turn, except weather it out, I'll take out Kui's SBD.

Time to push the limits and other attack on an undamaged Vulture.

Denz- do please heed my warning from earlier. Splitting fire is a waste of time; starting to attack a droideka and then changign targets just means you wasted the first attack. You must always be aiming to reduce enemy firepower as fast as possible; target changing compromises that.

Denz should also be aware that he is one hit away from going out.

As for the fight at the Guns- I think the urgency of Vlad's situation needs to be appreciated and dealt with.

ok, so I take the droid with me to fix the public transport

So noted. Xeth, Vera, what's the plan from your POV?

If Kiu can, he'll take out all schticks and keep focus on his droideka target.

Denz is very close to going out, remember...

What can I do? Bodyguard is tapped, so I don't see what else I can do.

Any veterans want to answer that one?

Either way I'm screwed... I'm just going to stick with Kiu.

Hmm... what if they retreat, Ush? They have destroyed all but four of the droids, perhaps they could fall back to the comm station and finish them off when the droids arrive after receiving some medical attention.

Or is the situation unresolved and they fail by forfeit?

Yup.... and Kiu isn't in a position to drag me out after I go down?

Retreating now would be rather a waste having stuck in it for so long.

No, my point was that Kiu should switch to taking down the one firing at Denz!

If Kiu destroys the SBD shooting at Denzral and Denzral destroys the destroyer droid shooting at him, that will leave him without attackers. Kiu can weather an attack or two hitting right now, whereas Denzral cannot. So that makes sense.

After that, Denzral can kill the other SBD (as I assume it will try shooting at him) and Kiu can kill the other destroyer droid.
