Epireans?

Galder agrees with Tanic that it may be best to simply head in and see what's going down, maybe split up from there to search for Danza and Briande.

No it's not!

And agreed. It's difficult to plan when we know next to nothing about what we're heading into.

I assume she's talking about her vision...

Ok, so, we all bundling in with the speeders then? I think the most practical option come up with so far is one of Con's about trying to find 'his' vehicle.

Okay! Speeders!

Psycho Brigade in one. Galder driving.

Con, Relle, Tanic in another. Tanic driving.

Gallador, Azarl, Rand in another. Gallador driving.

Off into the Desert of Stones to see what we can see!

Off we go then, on our camping holiday!

You are about a mile in when you realise that no-one has been lying about this place. Your sensors are hopeless. Which brings a particular problem- lacking sensors, you have no way of finding another vehicle! Everywhere you go you just see more of thise black, jagged rocks, in almost random pattterns. Some are tiny, on the ground. Some are large and form tree-sized obstacles. Some are massive and form valleys you must drive between. They really are razor sharp; they cut to the touch.

(All Bombard damages are increased inside the Desert)

No sign of destroyed droids. Mind you, no droids attacking you yet either. There cannot be that many!

Do we have any means of tracing other vehicles that were here, any trace we can perceive?

No.

How about comlinks? Those working at all?

Galder will test it by contacting Con or Relle on the next speeder. We are in the Desert of Stones, nobody will fault me for driving while talking on a comlink...

Comlinks are dodgy. You need a high power unit to make much headway; specialist equipment. They'll work ok at short range.

I don't suppose we could jury-rig something with the landspeeders or have collected some sort of specialist equipment before heading out?

I'm afraid not- it is the kind of thng you would need to 'acquire' specifically.

Ah, I see. Well then, we'll have to make do.

Galder suggests that they keep driving until we come across something.

Look! A rock!

Are they at least shiny rocks?

Rand is pleased that he has plenty of sharp objects to toss around, should the need arise for a Bombardment to commence...

Rand will try to open his superior senses to the Desert, to see what his intuitive Force senses can detect.

So is it just at totally open desert? No landmarks/cliffs/mountains (really high dunes/slightly larger rocks) or anything, Ush?

Millions of landmarks! As in the super sharp rocks. So it is about as far from being open as you can get.

Some of them are shiny...

Your senses are not accurate to a planetary scale; you will have to get into the right area.

What's different about the shiny rocks?

Gallador tries to focus his senses on the surroundings. But these rocks are just rocks, right?
