Yes they are just rocks, and there is nothing different about the shiny ones.

This is going to take forever, as it stands. You need a way to navigate or it is hopeless.

What about the stars/suns, would those help us navigate?

You're not on the ocean; your problem is not working out where you ar,e but where everything else is, relatively to it.

Would it be possible for us to roughly map things out ourselves? Like, mark down where the city is from us and about how far, mark down any particularly large landmarks, etc.

The place is huge, You'll be here forever. Mapping the Desert would take months.

Are the rocks becoming more and more dense as we go on? Maybe we could follow that.

Or we could try to figure out somehow where the greatest sensor disruption is coming from.

They started sparse but before you get far in they are very very dense indeed.

Disruption is disruption- basically the sensors do not work.

Galder's ideas of navigating this damn place mostly revolved around getting a nonexistant guide or using specialist sensors that we don't have.

Do the rocks continue to get dense?

They just stay very dense.

What shape the desert seems to be? Maybe just getting to the centre would be a plausible approach? Can we do something to mark the way we are going, something to leave a trail with?

You could try to leave a trail. But the centre of it is going to be much the same as the rest of it.

Hm, if we are pursuing people, they had to look for places to hide, right? We have to follow that logic.

I quess the likes of Rand and Gallador focussing their senses is not enough to find anything beyond our sight?

Maybe we could use our lightsabers to carve signs in the larger rocks we pass, so we know which way we've come from?

Psycho Brigade was here, right?! You bunch of vandals! 😱

Hey, you former Jedi types think sabers are tools, right? You guys should have thought of this!

Well, considering I had the same idea as you at the same time...one of us former Jedi kinda did 😛

Unfortunately that logic is near infinute, Gallador,. You could hide almost anywhere.

Would the Droids or some droid station have some sort of information about encounters with people going into the desert?

No, but I feel you are starting to think in a more sensible area now...

Maybe we could go by sound and flashes of blaster fire or droid movement.
