Wow, that's quick.
Only quick in the '1500 posts so far' sense.
Actually plotwise this story, though not long, is no shorter than Newhaven; it is just that you guys have become much quicker at getting around to things.
We still need a full tactical plan for the droid fight and a the decision on Medicine rolls, so that will take up time.
Not to mention the impact of what is on the crystal, your decision of what to do with it, and we also have some Dark Side downtime to play wit.

Quick more in the "We've only been playing for little over a month" aspect, as well as the fact that we tend to wrap things up with a massive fight.
Anyone have any ideas for planning for this fight? We are slightly in an area that's incredibly good at having us trapped.

Well, I'd be interested in how many will attack us and what kind. Depending on that, we might need to kill a lot of mooks first and then focus on the general, or a totally different strategy. If there are a few mooks I'd go shoot a bunch first before going lightsaber on them.
Well, can our equipment tell us something about the people closing in on us?
As for medicine rolls I'll look it up in a sec.
Yes, you will still be confined within the valley network so the fight will be bounded on two sides with sharp rocks all around.
And what can I say? if you are going to do 1500 posts in a little over a month then that's how the game goes now! On that basis the OT game threads would have been some 30000 posts.

Destroying mooks before stronger bad guys is generally a good idea, yeah. High numbers make mooks more dangerous than they actually are.
Anyway, even though we're going to have to fight our way out of these valleys, we can also use it to our advantage. The droids are not going to be able to come at us from all sides - they can come at us from the front, and that's it. Only the ones that fly would be able to get into this area from any other direction and I'm willing to bet most of the flying droids would be recon ones, not fighters.
So controlling how many droids make it through is going to be important.
I take it it'll be difficult for us to actually climb up onto the rocks?

Heh...that'd be huge.

Yay for being a dork with no life and is always online...
That assessment you give above is right; the droids cannot outflank you. And as you are at the end of one of the valley passages, they cannot be behind you either.
Actually, bardock, sometimes having lots of people slows a game massively as you try to make sure no-one is left behind, or are left waiting for some crucial decision (as often happened in the OT game), but this game has gone very well regardless.
Climbing those rocks is indeed exceptionally hazardous; Dex rolls to avoid injury.
Targetting Mooks is an extremely good idea- they are the most easily removable source of incoming damage.
Well, my idea in asking about climbing the rocks - you say there's no point in holding back on Force points now. I was pondering the idea of getting a few people up on the rocks and bombarding droids from up there. At least at first, to thin out the mook droids before they reach the end of the valley.

Well, that was sort of the idea with getting people up high. Drop stuff down from above them.
Or maybe create a sort of chokepoint by collapsing down rocks so only a couple can pass at a time...it'll be ineffective once some of the bigger droids turn up, I'm sure, as they'd probably be able to knock it down, but still. Maybe we'd get lucky and it'd crush some of the weaker ones in the process.
Dorkiness is awesome.
