That crystal is what you guys have been sent to get. Galder does not want to give it to her.

"Don`t be a fool, Galder, you have surived too long to be so." -Gallador approaches Galder, catching his gaze.

"I have seen it in my visions, if we don`t give Adelmo that crystal we are going to die.... well, certainly you are going to, because I will not support you, as will many of us. i thought we agreed that it is enough we keep the copy for ourselves? Please Galder, be reasonable and hand the crystal, I am on your side and want these secrets to be uncovered as much as you do. If you don`t trust me, give crystal to Azarl. He is reasonable and didn`t come to decision as of yet."

"I understand your dedication to Kuylen, but refusing to give Adelmo what she desires will be our undoing," Rand says. "Remain our bargain with her. Return the crystal and she will handle our problem with the pirates. Not to mention she will simply try to take it, maybe even help the pirates..."

Galder grins, greedily.

"You want it so much, you two?" Galder says, looking from Gallador to Rand. "Then fight me for it. Two-on-one. Winner gets to keep the crystal and do with it as he pleases. You will freely hand over the information to Lady Adelmo, I will not."

"You would say that," Rand says. "Now is neither the time nor place for a fight, with the General moving ever closer against us. You WILL surrender the crystal, Galder. See reason here! Without Adelmo, our base will be destroyed and our route to power is lost!"

It is surrender and keep a copy, not simply surrender. And we can bargain for her knowledge.

"I think both of us would defeat you, Galder. Problem is that we have these droids incoming.... of course, maybe for now you can just give crystal to someone with more level-headed view? I said Azarl, and I would say that Tanic would be good as well." He turns to them.

"Tanic, Azarl, Con, you know more that is on stake. Would you agree to negotiate with Adelmo so she shares her knowledge with regard to these ancient mysteries?"

Galder does not want ANY of this information getting to Lady Adelmo. He knows that it is important to Kuylen and that it contains secrets of the Sith. He will get it to Kuylen or use it for himself and whomever sides with him!

"If you refuse to fight me," Galder says, "then I guess the crystal is mine to keep. The only way I'm giving it up is if you beat me down or if Kuylen fell from the sky right now."

Gallador and Rand would have good chances against Galder, right Ush?

I am sure we are not the only two who feel that Galder is being ridiculous and should give the crystal to Lady Adelmo (especially with us intending to make a copy), but I do not think that Galder could win a fight against the both of us!

Xavier looks up at the sky and out towards the valley openings.

"This matter can be settled after wards we have more pressing matters, and weakening our own forces now would be detrimental to our cause."

Ush is there anyway Xavier could get a hold of Trax and have him bring the New Beginning in to help assist in fight or is it still suicide to do so for spacecraft?

"It may be that the matter must be settled now," Rand says, "but I for one do not think that it should be so. The crystal must go to Adelmo, but first we must survive the Desert of Stones."

I don't think bringing our starships in here would be a great idea...

Also, Ush, could Rand plug Danza's genetic sample into the specialised sensory equipment to find where his remains could be? We need that money from the bounty if we are going to have any sort of money.

Anyone asking to settle the matter afterwards isn't thinking very Dark Side- because that's actually an invitation to settle the mattter DURING the fight, if you think about it.

If you want this to be worked out reasonably, now is the only time. If it comes to an impasse it will be decided violently.

Afraid it is too late for allies (and those missile launchers shoot them down anyway). Also afraid that you have no means of picking up remote genetics.

After listening to what has been going on, Con decides that now is the time for him to speak: "Friends, we need to look at this situation with a level head. Adelmo uses us like pawns and we do not know if she would ever share any of her wisdom and power with us or if we are mere Bounty Hunters to her. On the other hand, Kuylen is a wise and powerful man, too..." with the next words he looks at Gallador "...a man that wants to uncover the ancient secrets of the Sith. And we know that he is willing to share this power with his men, as Galder experienced. When it comes down to it, I believe Kuylen is the right man for us to follow in the long run, at least I enjoy the more straight forward thinking of a dark jedi, to the babaric and chaotic methods this witch might follow.

Now, to think clearly though. We have a big problem, a problem she offered to help us with. Galder, if we refuse to give her the crystal...we will be fugitives again. We won't have a place to rest, we will be on the run, for we can't return to Epireus. And we will have no hint whatsoever where to find Kuylen, should he even be alive.

Therefore I propose that we copy the crystal, for ourselves. But give the original to Adelmo. To get rid of the major pirate problem we have. From there we will be more able to search for Kuylen, and when it comes down to it, and we have more information about each side, a wise decision can be made.

As for who takes the Crystal. Rand...Gallador, if you are already willing to strike Galder down...what is the point of having it during the battle? Galder is one of our most skilled men...surely the Crystal is most safe with him. And should you still feel the need to take it from him. Fight him after. Though, I must say, you will lose. Galder has allies more loyal to him and more dangerous than any other of us in this group"

Wow, quite monologuing there. I think I asked before, can't remember the answer though. Once we copied the Crystal, can we remove the appendix for Kuylen from the original?

I think Ush answered that question by saying that it could be the part with Kuylen that she is after and could know we've been tampering with it.

To be fair on our comparative of Big Bads, Galder does have this hazy memory of Kuylen running into the Mausoleum solo.

We also don't know much about the woman, yet. Just that she made a very bad first impression.

As for Kuylen, he is either dead, or abandomed his followers for years. He was good, I agree, but Adelmo seems to have powers beyond him, at least on par with the Jedi Council. Kuylen`s main strenght were his skills with lightsaber, though I won`t deny that he had other skills, I know his reputation in Jedi Order. But Adelmo may well be part of Force tradition as ancient as Jedi and Sith, it is remarkable they survived so long.

Also, she made us an offer despite not knowing us well, I don`t see how it is so wrong of her. And I didn`t propose to work for her forever, just for now. I am not keen on chasing ghost on Kuylen, which ended in failure before."

There's a graveyard of dead people on Dordellus of people that annoyed Kuylen whilst he was setting up.

I do have a feeling expectations of Dark Side Masters are unreasonably high. There are many that would phrase it 'do this job or you are dead'. She's offered a trade.
