USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (JEDI)- Purity

Andro meditates on the mission as Roan lands his ship. Andro knows this will be his most important and difficult mission yet. He feels he will be tested, and he feels he know where that test will come from. He asks the Force to guide him and opens his eyes. He checks his boot laces before standing and draws his lightsaber from it's holster at his hip.

It's probably one of the plainest looking of all of his fellow Jedi's weapons. It is a shining silver cylinder, its only feature a plain black friction grip long enough for two hands. The emitter dish at the business end is sunken and reflects a slight green tint. In it's holster, itself a unique change from the traditional belt clip, his saber could be anything. Most would recognize it as a weapon, but dismiss it as a simple sap or a baton. The detail that sets Andro's hand-made weapon apart is the control. A rotating switch, the only small object Andro can skillfuly manipulate with the Force, is located within the shining cylinder, under the grip. Andro felt a simple weapon would lead to a simple philosophy where saber play was concerned. But the uniquebess, and the incredible ammount of practice Andro had to put into quickly and accurately drawing and activating the weapon belied his obsession with lightsaber combat.

A constant obstacle for his Masters who trained him, Andro worked relentlessley to perfect his fighting, letting his other learing come second. He still faithfully and respectfully learned the 'other' skills, so that he truly earned his Knighthood, but most of his peers far surpass him in Force Powers. The mission on Spiridos changed his perspective, though. Sent on the mission without his only posession, Andro confronted challenges and foes for the first time as if naked. The young Jedi, Gallagher, had without intending to, finally proven to Andro the error of his ways. Unfortunately, Gallagher was kidnapped by an enemy that, even after having his saber restored to him, Andro had no defense against. Sheer Force power had defeated Andro with a wave of a Dark Jedi's hand, and that evil being had whisked young Gallagher away. In the short time that has passed, Andro has spent almost all of his spare time meditating on and practicing with his meager Force powers. But already, the time has come to go forth on a mision to rescue Gallagher and confront the evil Force that had manipulated them all...

Roan guides the ship silently into the landing bay on Mandragos.
As he is running through the landing procedures and other necessities, flipping switches with the force and going through the automated thoughtless motions of landing, he turns to Sunda.
"This mission is different from anything I have done before. Never has so much been given to me, Sunda. We all must tread carefully, and even I must analyze how I go about missions, and adapt to our surroundings. Our enemy is more cunning than we can imagine. This is not a mission where at the end, we confront and vanquish our foe. To merely escape alive is the greatest of victories..."

Sunda nods.

"What do you want me to do, Master?" he asks.

And indeed, what is the wider plan?

---

"First of all," says Sienar, "there can be no question of you making contact with the Jedi. If they come to see you, you refuse; you do not even speak with them. You are here with me of your own volition, and you know why."

Jelena comes out of her meditative trance just as Roan brings the ship into the orange atmosphere of Mandragos. She frowns, concerned by the shroud that the Dark Side has pulled over her perception of things to come.

She is also troubled by what little she was able to see. Her inability to distinguish Gallagher from Sienar is most troubling, but also that she would use a blaster to shoot him in the back... though she has a feeling that it is not actually her using the blaster...

Did the blaster seem familiar at all?

Jelena sees Andro meditating. "Have you seen anything?" she asks her worried companion.

-

Wider plan...

Currently we need to find out where Sienar is and where Mirani is- for the sake of the official status of the mission, I suggest locating Mirani first.

Do we actually have the right to arrest him? Or do we need further evidence of Mirani's involvement with the mass murder at Tranquil Repose and the aspidrol smuggling?

Also, we need to do some investigative work as to who Father Varm really was, and how he became involved with Sienar. Could open some possibilities there for rescuing Sienar.

Andro answers after he goes through his routine. "No." He replies soberly,"The Force rarely grants me visions. I am at the mercy of it's will on this mission."

Mirani is arrestible, you have him bang to rights on a lot of charges.

You've not seen the gun before. Or have you? You have this nagging suspicion that you might just have seen it, or one like it, but... no, you cannot place it.

Not even in the hands of the thieving villain from Cassilis?

"My perception of things to come has been clouded," Jelena says. "It must be Sienar's work. It is troubling that I cannot perceive clearly what will happen."

"Seinar is incredibly powerful, and he is most skillful at deception. Gallagher is very sensitive to the Force, and he spent hour with him over several days and never suspected a thing. I thought I was defending Seinar from Varm and Kathya, but they were his pawns." He tells her regretfully. "We were all fooled, and now Gallagher is his next pawn, willingly or not."

Jelena nods.

"I am worried for our friend, but we will find a way," Jelena says. "I do not think Gallagher will be so easily turned, no matter what Sienar throws at him."

Jelena thinks for a moment.

"What do you know of Varm and Kathya?"

You would probably be annoyed with yourself if you hadn't made that link, Jelena! No, not that gun.

"Well, Varm's dead. Kathya will be if I see her." He shakes his head, a half-apology, "They were meant to seem Seinar's handlers on Spiridos, but they were his tools. While he received his treatment and soaked up much of Gallagher's time, those two were running the scheme. We started slowly unravelling their cover, we were attacked by Varm. He tried to get me while I was searching his room, and later he rigged a team o sporting robots to kill us. We finally revealed ourselves as Jedi when we dismantled the robots and chased after Varm. THe look on his face when we unexpectedly drew upon the Force was worth the beating we took from his robots. We caught them unloading and trying to get off world. I caught up to and killed Varm, but Kathya got away on the ship. I would assume that she is his right hand now."

"Assuming he is not intending to set Gallagher there," Jelena says with a grim tone. "Gallagher would surpass any ally should Sienar succeed in turning him, I am sure. His command of the Force is impressive and it would horrifying if directed by a poisoned mind."

All of which, if you remember, gives you two things to investigate- picking up Mirani, and looking into Varm. You don't actually have anything on Kathya, though as potential witnesses to the crimes involved you probably want to speak to her and Sienar. Sienar, of course, is a busy political figure and talking to him must be a delicate matter.

Jedi are not liked on this world and right now you have... well, no idea of anything really.

(When Jedi come asking questions, is there a penalty for hindering an investigation? We might need some leverage with the populace who want to hide info we need. Let's go after Mirani first, being the living target, one that might try to get away. Varm's investigation is just to get closer to nailing Seinar.)

Depends if you can prove they were hiding stuff or not.

(I'm trying to be positive. Our goal is to kill-- uh, I mean catch him so I'm hoping we do find what we need from those people.)

Gallagher, still shaken from the image of Andro covered in the blood of billions, readily accepts this rule.

"No seeing them, no speaking with them," Gallagher says. "Any others?"

"No lies," says Sienar. "That is really advice rather than a rule. If you lie to me you lie to yuorself and you will never work out anything."

-

Well, I shall put into action any plan the Jedi wish!

"I am a terrible liar as it is," Gallagher says.

"Well, we'll see about that... meanwhile the majority of the Senators are arriving today. There is a reception this evening. I trust you will not cause any trouble."
