(Maybe we should split up? Andro and Roan can talk with Kathya and the priests, maybe even Sienar, Jelena can go work on her own to hunt down Mirani if need be.)

How about Roan and Sunda go after Mirani and we talk to Kathya, and try to get an audience with Gallagher and Seinar. Then we need to start snooping, I think. We got to get dirt somewhere.

Ok then, let's make that a deal. Andro and Jelena head into the Basilica, which is, as mentioned before, rather like a giant art gallery, though with many different sorts of rooms for many different uses. Around you are priests, pilgrims, those seeking salvation, those coming to worship, and a great deal of tourists. And also you see the blue-uniformed Senatorial guards accompanying their charges as Senators are now arriving.

The Abbot's quarters are on one of the higher levels; Kathya's room is near them.

(Are we cleared to go up there, or do we need an escort. I mean, I'm going up there, but do I have to sneak or not?)

You're clear.

Jelena ascends to where the Abbot's and Kathya's quarters are.

She keeps her senses open as she arrives at Kathya's designated quarters, partly to sense any danger, but also to see if she can sense Gallagher's strong presence. She knocks lightly.

The door springs open. Kathya is inside, alongside a short man in a blue suit.

"Greetings, Kathya," Jelena says. "I am Jedi Knight Jelena Bendu. I wished to speak with you."

The man stands.

"My client is exercising her right to silence on this matter," he says.

"...I haven't even said what we want to discuss," Jelena says, taken aback.

"Somehow I doubt it was the weather," he says. He hands you a datapad.

Jelena takes the datapad and reads its contents.

"My client's statement about everything she witnessed on Spiridos," he says. "I think that just about covers all possible business you could have with her?"

"Oh," Jelena says. "Well, I thank you for the statement, but I actually wished to inquire about Doctor Mirani. It seems he has gone missing, and your client would have been one of the last people to see him since his arrival on Mandragos."

Jelena will look over the statement, to see what Kathya has to say about the events of Spiridos.

It's long; it will take a while.

"My client had no business with Doctor Mirani and, as the statement explains, did not see him on the flight. Father Varm... or rather just Varm was the one who organised the Abbot's meetings with the Doctor."

"Just Varm? I thought he was a Priest," Jelena says. "And I assume this statement covers everything involving Kathya's relations with Varm as well."

"Yes it does. And haven't you heard?" he asks. "It's not my area, of course, nor anything I know much about, But I understand Varm has been posthumously ex-communicated."

"I must say that I have only been recently assigned to this case," Jelena says. "Why was he ex-communicated?"

"I rather feel that is something you Jedi know more about than I. Besides, he' was never my client."

"Of course. Thank you for your time... I don't believe you gave your name."

"Deval," he says, bowing slightly.
