USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (JEDI)- Purity

Gallagher's family are not bad people, though Gallagher understands the strain on his oaths with loved ones in contact. He keeps minimal contact with his family, and even though it is mostly through his father, Senator Galahad.

But yes, Gallagher feels if anything is going to happen here, he may need to come to terms with what occurred rather than let the guilt and anger of his sister's death consume him as Sienar will no doubt try to use it.

Then think about it you will! There were several key moments in the whole situation that you remember. Though the memory really etched into your mind is the very end.

The end starting with what Gallagher had seen in the vision, I am assuming, and leading up to Gallagher being viciously beaten unconscious due to his inexperience in fighting a superior foe...

Yes...

You remember being first on the scene. In fact, in your first pro-active moment as a Jedi (well, s a learner, anyway), you had worked out your enemy's deception- accompanied by your powerful force instincts confirming to you you were on the right track. You had contacted Korth to tell him he was going the wrong way but you didn't sit tight. Desperate to save your sister, you raced off to the scene yourself.

But although you arrived first, you did the least. When you got there... that memory is too painful. Sometimes you think she was dead when you got there- you remember the body vividly. But at times you dream about seeing her die. Maybe you did; it would have been traumatic. You are unclear.

But then there was the body before you, and all you could do was stare.

What was the deception that the Dark Jedi were using against us?

What method was used to kill Gallagher's sister?

And why is Gallagher so unclear about this? You think even if he did not ponder it much it would at least be something that he could never force from his mind...

Trying to think about it all at once overwhelms you. Still, being unclear about events during a high stress-trauma situation is not uncommon.

Perhaps you had best start from the beginning. You and Korth travelled to Thespia, Korth all the time warning you about being careful about contact with your family. The pressure was on to find your sister as soon as possible- but the first thing to check out was the murder.

Why were we traveling to Thespia?

What murder were we going to investigate?

Well I hope you are clear about why you went to Thespia- it's your backstory, after all!

Haha, well, just making sure that my background is still matching up with what has been included in the plot!

So we are on Thespia because the Klinge-Faust family has alerted the Jedi Order to a trio of Dark Jedi kidnapping Gallagher's sister and insisting that Gallagher come in on the assignment to rescue her and apprehend the trio.

But the murder?

Well, actually the Dark Jedi link came later. You didn't know who had kidnapped her at the time; you later established it was this lunatic who figures heavily in your memory. It was much later that you found the Dark Side machinations behind it.

As for the murder...

Thespia

"Be respectful," says Korth. "And I know well this is your world and the people here pay your family deference, but you are also a stranger to them. This world is a tight-knit community and they often view those taken from them by the Jedi Order with suspicion, and feelings of loss."

You turn the corner and cme upoin the murder scene.

This is a very pleasant, futurusitc lokking area; a green park but with silvery buildings all around. The park is not open to the public, though- it is a privately owned area of land. You have come now to a high building, sealed off by local security.

The body is laying on the front courtyard. It's the first truly dead body you have seen, and it is certainly a mess; it has fallen from the top of the building.

Kneeling down by it is another man, tough looking, and you can feel immediately the sensations of loss, anger; a desire for vengeance.

"Who is that man?" Gallagher asks, shivering with discomfort as he sees the body, crumpled and soaking in a pool of its own blood.

The dead man or the one leaning over him?

The dead man.

His name was Zolos.

The man kneeling over him looks up as you two approach.

"You're the Jedi," he sauys, standing. He is wearing... well, they don't exactly have uniforms on this world, but they have 'appropriate costuming' as it were, and his marks him out as someone official, nommere bystander or the like. he's also armed.

"Indeed," says Korth. "I am Master Korth and this is my learner..."

"You're Gallagher," says the man. "Yes, I was told. Welcome home."

Gallagher, somewhat shy, is taken aback for a moment.

"Thank you, sir," Gallagher says. "Good to be home, I guess. And you are?"

"I am Zaland. I am... looking into this matter."

"Glad to make your acquaintance, sir," Gallagher says. He glances up at Master Korth for a moment, then back to Zaland. "Um... what has happened here?"

Because he has returned to his homeworld, he feels some obligation to take charge, even though it is not his place.

Well in many ways that reflects the circumstances in which you were asked here. Even so, the Council was clear about how it should work.

"He was thrown off the top of the building," says Zaland. "Presumably after a struggle, though we'll wait for the medics to have their say. From what I can tell, our attacker likes drama. Your sister was on the fifth floor when the attack took place. Which means he took the trouble to drga his victim all the way up to the top before throwing him off."

Jelena admires the artistry that has gone into the interior of the Basilica, but it is tainted by her knowledge from Andro of what Sienar apparently is.

"May we speak with Sienar's entourage?" Jelena asks. "Perhaps Kathya is available?"

"Th-that is worrying," Gallagher stutters. "Seems... sadistic."
