USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (JEDI)- Purity

Started by Ushgarak121 pages

The attendants at the front of the giant doors of the Basilica- who look you over, warily, say they will contact her now and see.

You feel hostility around, Jelena. Even more than you might have expected. The Synod disagree with the Jedi, true, but it is not normally in the nature of Ferradyne's adherents to bear a grudge against all Jedi- not all of them, anyway.

But the sense that you are going after the Abbot- that is a different matter.

"Th-that is worrying," Gallagher stutters. "Seems... sadistic."

"And I would say it was some sort of electro-weapon he was beaten around the body with first," says Zaland.

"I'm very sorry for your loss," says Korth. "The killer will be caught, you can depend on that."

"My loss?"

"Your brother," says Korth. Zaland turns to him.

"They do say you Jedi have strong instincts."

"Instinct and logic combined. You are a Protector, aren't you? Your Sister would have had one, all important members of your family do. And the Protectors themselves form a family."

Zaland just nods.

Gallagher looks down at the body with a renewed sense of worry and anguish.

"I'm sorry, too," Gallagher says. "But I assure you, no-one else will come to harm. Master, we should go."

"Patience, Gallagher. We need to learn from this place. Look," he says, gesturing toeards the body. "His gun is still in his holster"

"So he did not have time to retaliate against his attackers," Gallagher supposes, his worry mounting. "He would have to have been taken by surprise, if Zaland's observation is accurate about the electro-weapon."

"My older brother was extremely good at his job," says Zaland. "I... cannot explain this at all."

"Master... what do you make of this?" Gallagher asks, looking to his wise mentor.

He opens his senses, trying to see if his strong connection to the Force will provide any clues or strange feelings about this matter, aside from his mounting anticipation and worry.

"I feel it is early to make something of it until we have visited the other crime scenes," says Korth, "but you must always keep your eyes and senses open. Small things can say much."

Aside fromm a feeling of mystery, there's not much you are picking up here.

Andro speaks up before the attendant goes to contact Kathya. "You may tell her that Akron is here to see her."

(For those that don't know/remember -heh, I had to look it up myself- Akron was Andro's undercover name on Spiridos.)

Well, a message eventually comes back that you may proceed to Kathya's quarters.

But I must again press the importance of getting things rolling with Mirani.

And Varn. we need to speak with his associates.
But finding Mirani's friends and whatnot might be a good way to find him.

(I've pondered it, but I can't think of anything else to try to find him. We can't 'look him up', the priests don't have a clue, and we are about to talk to one of the last people that saw him and we're not likely to get a straight answer from her. I'm really stuck on this one, I hope the others have ideas.)

(Maybe we should split up? Andro and Roan can talk with Kathya and the priests, maybe even Sienar, Jelena can go work on her own to hunt down Mirani if need be.)

And just to remind you, don't forget Sunda.

Gallagher looks back down at the body of Zolos. He never knew this man, but feels that in some way it is a personal loss for himself, through his family.

"So... what do we do now, Master?" Gallagher asks.

"We would like to take a look at the room where the assault took place and the rooftop," says Korth. Zaland nods.

Gallagher will follow Korth's and Zaland's lead as he is taken to these pivotal rooms.

Actually, Korth phrases the request in a way that means you two go up alone, and indeed just the two of you head inside the building.

"Will there be any danger here?" Gallagher asks. "I mean... the kidnappers left?"

"No, I sense nothing," says Korth. "But I do want you to be careful with Zaland. A man looking for revenge is a dangerous thing."
