USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (JEDI)- Purity

Started by Lord Melkor121 pages

(True villain is that bastard Corran Andran, obviously. I suggest you do galaxy a favour and put a sabre in his chest.)

(Really. Andran is kinda my hero...)

What is it going to be next, Roan?

We need to hear from Sunda about his investigative work.

When is the Senatorial meeting set for?

Gallagher gloomily looks up from his position on a chair when Sienar returns to him.

"What was discussed?" Gallagher asks, wanting to know what his companions are up to.

"Merely their various concerns. Andro is very... driven with concerns for your safety. You should be careful of him, Gallagher. He wants to kill me the most, and if he does- well, it's all over. You will have failed. They will now go continue their inv estigations, some of which I will show you later, and then they will join the Senators for the Reception."

-

The reception is in a few hours- not to be confused with the actual decision making process, this is more a meet-and-greet diplomatic function held within the Basilica.

Sunda reports when you ask. He says you should come down to this motel-equivalent he is at.

"But you're not going to like it," he says.

Andro listens to Sunda's report, and looks at the others. "Mirani's dead, told you."

"That's not for certain," Jelena says to Andro. "But I was worried he would say something like that."

Jelena tells Sunda they will be there in a moment and then will leave, wanting to reach Sunda and find out what he has discovered about Mirani.

"I will not let him," Gallagher says. "Not in his state. It would be his undoing to give in to the fiery anger you have stoked within him.

"What will happen at the Reception?" Gallagher asks.

"'Stoked' is the right word," says Sienar. "I didn't create his anger. I merely showed it to him. The weakness is his. As for the reception- well, although all nominally part of a Senatorial body designed to look into the issues of poverty in the Galaxy, many of these Senators do not really know each other, as the Senate chamber itself is an immensaly impersonal place. The Reception will be based around a banquet for all attending and gives the Commission members an opportunity to talk to each other and judge the political mood. The reception is also open to dignitiaries and important people of many persuasions who wish to make their points of view on the matter clear to the Senartors. Much of the lower Basilica will be given to the event.

"Interestingly enough, on grounds of poltiical neutrality, that will be the only formal event held inside the Basilica. Any meetings where decisions will be made will be made out in the city; those are the meetings I plan to address. The Reception is only so much whitewash."

-

The rest of you have arrived at a rather run-down looking place to stay- only a few stories high because, as noted, this is mostly a low city.

Sunda is waiting inside for you by a room. You assume he was in a hurry because, evidently, he has sabred through the door.

Andro puts a hand on his lightsaber and steps through the opening. "What happened?" he asks, as he looks around the room.

"Oh, it was all over by the time I got here. I just didn't get any answer and... well. I thought you needed answers quickly."

Room looks barely used, Andro.

Roan will go into the room and stand next to Sunda.
"What do you think happened in here?"

"He's in the bathroom," says Sunda.

Jelena steps past them and to the bathroom, unsure what to prepare herself for.

A small room, not much room for anything other than the (presumably hi-tech) bath.

Within which is slumped Mirani, a blaster in his right hand, dead from a head shot. Not pretty.

Andro sticks his head in the door and takes in the scene without emotion. "Hm. Anyone else as shocked as I am?" He asks, deadpan. He turns and goes back into the livingroom to search for clues. (Papers, files, out-of-place objects, and such.)

Nothing.

"Suicide," Jelena says, morosely. "Our link to Sienar through Doctor Mirani is lost, then. Sunda, did you speak with the owner of this motel? Perhaps they could be of help, and in any case, should be notified of what has occured..."

Is Jelena sensing anything wrong with this situation?

And it does not seem like he was here long.

Define wrong? Something makes you uneasy.

Very little from the pwner- Mirani checked in, no questions asked, that was more or less that.
