Alright then, time enough, we're moving it on.

The reception- and the day- is coming to an end.

(Bring it on. I been thinking alot about all that's been said. My slow mind is starting to get a vague feeling about what might be going on.)

Sunda doesn't quite know what to make of it all.

"The Senator I was talking to was just insanely bored," he says. "Said that to have any chance of moving up in the Senate you have to attend a certain amount of these functions every so often, and he was only here to make up that contribution. He doesn't actually think anything useful happens here."

"My dinner date wasn't a charmer either. She's here to make a difference, but her point of view is to ram the solution down everyone's throats. She thinks the Jedi should take over and force those with the food to just fork it over. Her passion frustration and anger make me think she's very close to the issue. Unfortunately, my lack of tact prevented me from learing just how close. I'm certain she's been to at least one of these planets."

She doesn't actually think that (about taking over), she was just pointing out it was possible, and in turn pointing out that the Order has done nothing to help those people.

(That's right. We just pounded that point so hard it stuck in my head.)

Alright, so what do we think?

Somewhat late in the day, Roan, reflecting on your brief convo with Sott, you realise something.

Everyone else told you that you shouldn't look into the Abbot because he is such a holy and wonderful man.

Sott was different.

Wow, I never would have thought of that. Thanks for the hint.

Don't thank me that much- it's too late to find out what he knows.

He said specifically that if the Jedi work for it, they might find that some of Sienar's dealings have been done in her name.

"What did you think of that?" Jelena asks Sunda, curious to what effect such an opinion from a Senator might have on the young Padawan.

Jelena is glad to have come away with knowledge of the voucher system that she did not have before. She can only wonder at why Sott is not impressed with Sienar the way everyone else is.

Well, looks like you haven't quite got the full grip of the situation yet, Gallagher... what's the plan?

-

Sunda isn't sure the Senate ia actually going to do anything at all.

(Sott might be smarter then the others.)

Well, you guys need to head back to the ship, as the day closes.

(Let's pool our thoughts. What in the world is really going on here? We all listened to different opinions on the famine situation, but I can't wring out of it what Seinar's motivations or plot might be. Seiner says' it's all about power, and apparently his entire plot culminates into his announcement tomorrow. What can he say tomorrow that will lock in whatever he has in mind? What kind of power comes from solving a food crisis? Is he looking for power over the people he saves? It sounds like he already has a huge following from people on the victim's side of the issue. And what does this all have to do with drug smuggling? Saving the starving and running drugs seem like poor goals for a brilliant and powerful Dark Jedi like him. I'm really really struggling with this; this whole famine issue seems so far removed from the smuggling plot. I can't see how becomming a religious leader and saving the poor brings him power, at least power that the Jedi would view as evil or wrong. He could be after political power, but what would he use that for? It could help with smuggling I'm sure, but it doesn't feel like running drugs is his ultimate goal. Anyone else have ideas?)

You could always ask him; he's inside your ship.

Jelena steps into the ship and notices that her senses are clouded.

"Sienar," Jelena says, seeing the Abbot on Roan's ship.

"Good evening, Jedi," he says. He is in his full Abbot gear once more, his face shrouded.

"State your business," Jelena says.
